Vistas - Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: UK to Vancover Fly from
the UK to Vancouver where you’ll be met and transferred
to your cruise ship, the Norwegian Sun, for an afternoon sailing.
Settle into your cabin and have a first look round the ship,
before meeting your fellow travellers over dinner this evening.

DAY 5: Skagway This
historic little community, known as the ‘Gateway to
The Klondike, occupies a lovely site with snow-capped and
glaciated peaks as a backdrop. A waterfront town, with a pervasive
frontier flavour, and designated as a historic district by
the US National Park Service, whilst the wooden structures,
housing hotels, saloons and shops, have been restored to evoke
the days of the ‘Gold Rush’. (B,L,D)
DAY 2: Cruise the Inside Passage A day
of stunning scenery and wonderful wildlife as we cruise the
Inside Passage, a coastal route along a series of passages
between the mainland and the coastal islands.Cruise through
miles of towering glaciers, valleys that were shaped by the
moving ice, roaring waterfalls and stunning fjords, passing
various islands hugging the coastline of this vast and wonderful
wilderness. Admire the astonishing wildlife, unlike any other
place in the world, with bald eagles circling overhead, brown
bears roaming, whales and sea lions in their natural element.

DAY 6: Cruising A day
of gentle, scenic cruising as we retrace our steps past the
Sawyer Glacier, heading for the Inside Passage. (B,L,D)
DAY 7: Cruising Another
day of scenic cruising as we again journey through the Inside
Passage on our way to Vancouver. Last night on the ship and
the opportunity to say farewell to your new-found friends
and fellow passengers. (B,L,D)
DAY 3: Ketchikan Known as the ‘Salmon
Capital of the World’ this scenic town is set beneath
the Deer Mountain, and largely unspoilt due to it only being
accessible by sea or seaplane. A popular cruise destination,
as well as a wonderful spot for travellers who want to experience
wilderness and adventure. The town’s 19th-century commercial
fishing, canning and logging industries drew hearty workers
who added a raucous side to the town’s history. The
infamous ‘red light’ district with its museum
is a present day testament to that era. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: Vancover to UK After
a leisurely breakfast it’s time to depart the cruise
ship and to spend some time in Vancouver. Canada’s third
largest city with some wonderful sights, such as the Stanley
Park, English Bay and Chinatown. Transfer to the airport mid
afternoon for your flight back to the UK. (B)
DAY 9: Arrive UK Arrive
back in the UK
DAY 4: Juneau & Sawyer Glacier Cruising through some
Fjord-like scenery this morning to arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s
state capital. Juneau is full of contrasts, a sophisticated
cosmopolitan city in the heart of the Tongass National Forest.
Nestled at the base of towering mountains overlooking the
Gastineau Channel, the community’s rich culture and
‘Gold Rush’ history is displayed throughout town.
Take the opportunity to pan for gold - you never know! Finish
the day with scenic cruising along the mighty Sawyer Glacier.

The same goes for the way you dress. Smart casual is fine
anytime day or evening, but if you'd like to dress up in black
tie or cocktail dress, there's always an optional formal evening
in a designated main restaurant when you be as glamorous as
you like.
Tipping is just as easy and unobtrusive as the Freestyle Cruising
formula lets you settle up with one straightforward service
charge on your last day.
