Pompeii & The Amalfi Coast - Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: UK to Reims To Dover
for the crossing to Calais, and then on to our overnight hotel
in the Reims area.
DAY 10: Sorrento
to Rome Leaving
Sorrento behind, we travel to the ‘Eternal City’
of Rome to enjoy some free time and take in some of the marvellous
sights, such as the Colloseum, the Trevi Fountain, and the
Forum. We spend the night in the heart of this magical city
at the Hotel Nova Domus, located close to the Vatican City
(4*). (B,D)
DAY 2: N. France to Weggis South
through France, and in to Switzerland for our overnight on
the shores of Lake Lucerne at the Hotel Hertenstein, Weggis
(3*). (B,D)
DAY 11: Rome to Arenzano We continue
northwards, taking the scenic coastal road, to reach our overnight
on the Italian Riviera, Hotel Punta San Martino (4*). (B,D)
DAY 3: Weggis to Canarra Travelling onwards,
we pass in to Italy, through Tuscany, and to Umbria to our
overnight stay at the Hotel Hortensis in Canarra, close to
Assisi. (B,D)
DAY 12: Arenzano to Annecy Continuing
our journey, today sees us leave Italy behind and head in
to the beautiful Alsace region of France for our overnight
stay at the Comfort Hotel Mandallaz or similar in Annecy (3*).

DAY 4: Canarra to Sorrento We travel south through
picturesque Umbrian countryside to reach Sorrento itself.
We enjoy dinner and six nights at the Hotel Cesare Augusto,
ideally located close to the centre of the resort. (B,D)
DAY 13: Annecy to Paris We head
to the most romantic capital, Paris, where you will have the
evening at leisure to enjoy this wonderful city. Dinner tonight
is not included so that you can make the most of your time
in Paris, before we head to our overnight hotel on the outskirts
of the city. (B)
DAYS 5 to 9: Sorrento At leisure
in Sorrento. The town itself offers a maze of narrow streets
that enclose excellent restaurants and little shops selling
local handicrafts and limoncello, the local lemon liqueur.
Enjoy our included excursion along the Amalfi Coast, a wonderful
stretch of coastline where the dramatic rocks plunge in to
the crystal clear sea. There will also be an optional excursion
programme so that you can further discover this magical corner
of Itlay. (B,D)
DAY 14: Paris to UK To Calais for the ferry
to Dover and home, with memories of our unforgettable journey.

Full Day: Amalfi Coast A scenic drive along
Europe’s most beautiful stretch of coastline, with
breathtaking views of some magnificent scenery. We pass
worldfamous Positano, with its spectacular picturepostcard
location and colourful buildings falling down to the sea;
as well as Amalfi, the main town along the coastline, from
where you can join an optional cruise to see this spectacular
stretch of coastline from a different angle.
