Treasures - Holiday Itinerary
Day 1:
UK to Malaga Fly from
your preferred airport to Malaga on the Costa del Sol. On
arrival you will be met and transferred to the nearby resort
of Benalmadena and the hotel Vistamar (4*). Meet your fellow
travellers and Tour Manager over dinner this evening. (D)
Day 5:
Córdoba to Seville Morning
at leisure in Cordoba before travelling to Seville, a classic
Andalucian gem, Spain’s fourth largest city and home
to the hotblooded Flamenco. We stay for two nights at the
Gran Hotel Solucar (4*) in Sanlucar Mayor, 20 minutes from
Seville. (B,D)
Day 2: Malaga to Grenada We leave in the morning
for Granada, Andalucia’s hidden gem. A Moorish masterpiece,
their most treasured Spanish city bears testament to their
architectural genius. Our guided tour of this historic and
distinctive city, with its renaissance, baroque and Neoclassical
monuments, will enthral you. We spend the night at the hotel
Aben Humeya (3*), centrally located and near to the cathedral.

Day 6: Seville Our guided city tour will
show you the delightful mix of Moorish and Christian, like
the Alcazar; the magnificent Plaza de España, beautifully
decorated with ceramic tiles; and the labyrinth of narrow
streets in the medieval ‘Barrio’. Seville’s
Gothic cathedral is Spain’s largest church (entrance
included) and those who climb the Giralda Tower will be rewarded
with fantastic views. Try one of the many tapas bars for a
delightful snack or a cool drink, maybe a relaxing horse-drawn
carriage ride through the city to soak up the lovely atmosphere.

Day 3: Grenada to Córdoba A guided tour this morning
of the Alhambra, a spectacular fortified palace whose russetcoloured
stone has gained it the name ‘The Red Castle’.
It is the only medieval Arab palace in existence and is recognised
as one of the Wonders of the World. Marvel at the well-preserved
ornate interior, wander
through the patios and courtyards with their pools and fountains,
then visit the Generalife, one of the world’s greatest
gardens. In the afternoon we leave for Cordoba and the hotel
Eurostars Las Adelfas (4*), our base for the next two nights.

Day 7: Seville to Benalmadena Today’s journey takes us first to
the mountains behind Malaga and the white-washed town of Ronda.
Set above the Tago gorge, it has spectacular views of the
surrounding countryside. Make sure you visit the narrow terraced
gardens of Casa del Rey Moro and the Palace of the Old Moorish
King. We continue then to the coast and back to our hotel
in Benalmadena, the Vistamar (4*), for our last night. Enjoy
a final dinner with your
fellow travellers tonight as you recall the treasures you
have uncovered this week. (B,D)
Day 4: Córdoba Included
guided city tour to show you the huge Mezquite Cathedral,
a grand Arab mosque with a Gothic cathedral inside, and the
Jewish Quarter, the ‘Juderia’, with its fascinating
network of atmospheric streets. Afternoon at leisure to further
explore your favourite sights. (B,D)
Day 8: Malaga to UK Transfer to the airport
in Malaga today for your return flight home. (B)
