DAY 1:
UK to Liege To Dover
for the short crossing to Calais, then on into Belgium and
Liege for our overnight stay.
DAY 9: Niederau to Liege We return to Germany and
then into Belgium to Liege in time for dinner and our final
overnight stay. (B,D)
DAY 2: Liege to Niederau Across into Germany and
southwards through Bavaria, along the Inn Valley and into
the Austrian Tyrol with the scenery becoming more spectacular
all the time. We reach Niederau in time for dinner and our
seven night stay. (B,D)
DAY 10: Liege to UK To Calais for the late
morning ferry to Dover, from where we return home. (B)
DAYS 3 to 8: Niederau At leisure
in Niederau with three included excursions and the chance
to join some of our optional excursions, or simply relax and
enjoy the Tyrolean hospitality. (B,D)

Full
Day: Zillertal Train Along the length of the Ziller Valley from Jenbach
to the famous resort of Mayrhofen. Enjoy the
wonderful views of the surrounding mountains as
the steam train chugs through the valley at 15
miles per hour.
Full Day: Achensee Train Europes
oldest steam-driven rack and pinion railway, the train climbs
majestically to the edge of Lake Achensee, the largest and
highest lake in the Tyrol. Enjoy time at leisure in Pertisau,
with its chalet-style houses set against the backdrop of the
Karwendel Alps.
Half Day: Wendelstein Rack Railway Today we cross the border into Bavaria to ride
the Wendelstein Rack Railway, in operation since
1912. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views as we
travel through seven tunnels, eight galleries and
over twelve bridges to the 1838 metre high
mountain summit.
Enjoying a tranquil setting
with views over the alpine meadows to the surrounding hills
and only 250 metres from the village centre of Niederau, the
Pension Diane and its staff have been welcoming our guests
for many years now and always do their utmost to make you
feel at home. The restaurant serves English style food and
the bar opens out onto a terrace.
