our overnight hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. (D)

Saalbach to Weil am Rhein We
depart for Germany and our overnight hotel. (B,D)
DAY 2: N. France to Bad Herrenalb We continue
into Germany today for an overnight stay in the Black Forest.

DAY 11: Weil am Rhein to N. France Into France for an overnight
stay. (B,D)
DAY 3: Bad Herrenalb to Saalbach We cross the border into Austria and enjoy
breathtaking scenery as we travel on to Saalbach for our seven
night stay. (B,D)
DAY 12: N. France to UK To Calais and homeward

DAYS 4 to 9: Saalbach At leisure
in peaceful Saalbach, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Day: Krimml Falls & Rattenberg
We visit the spectacular Krimml waterfalls
before travelling over the Gerlos Pass to the
village of Rattenberg.
Full Day: Salzburg & ‘The Sound of Music’ Salzburg
has acquired worldwide renown as the backdrop to the beloved
musical ‘The Sound of Music’. We enjoy a guided tour of the
city visiting some of the filming locations including the
Summer House, Maria’s convent, the Mozartplatz and the Mirabell
Gardens, where Maria and the children sang ‘Do-Re-Mi’.
Full Day: Kitzbühel & Zell am See We visit
the colourful mountain resort of Kitzbühel then on to Zell
am See, one of Austria’s most beautiful alpine towns. Here
we enjoy a short boat trip on the crystal clear waters on
board the local ferry, before returning to our hotel for afternoon
tea and home-made apple strudel.
This traditional, family
run hotel is in a pedestrian zone in the centre of Saalbach,
surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. The Berger
family has been welcoming British guests for many Summers
now with warmth and traditional Austrian hospitality. They
will even invite you to taste their home-made apple strudel
on the last day of your stay.
