DAY 1: UK - LOS ANGELES
Welcome to the City of Angels! A complimentary transfer is provided to the tour hotel where your Tour Director will be on hand to greet you and answer any questions you may have about the exciting days ahead. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions for a Welcome Reception. Hotel: Hilton Long Beach (SF)

DAY 2: LOS ANGELES – SAN DIEGO
TThis morning we leave Los Angeles and travel south to reach the coastal city of San Diego. On arrival, our orientation tour includes Old Town, the Gaslamp Quarter and Balboa Park. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy a Highlight Dinner at a local restaurant in beautiful Seaport Village. (FB HD) Hotel: Westin San Diego (MD)

DAY 3: SAN DIEGO – SCOTTSDALE
Today's journey takes us east as we travel through the changing desert into Arizona and the cactus-dotted landscape of the foreboding Sonoran Desert. DAY 4: SCOTTSDALE – SEDONA – GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Travel north to Red Rock Country and the artists' town of Sedona. From here your journey continues through the stunning landscape of Oak Creek Canyon. Arrive at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Enjoy the magnificent view and become rock experts as you learn from a local specialist relaying he story of the formation of the 1.7 billion year-old wonder carved by the Colorado River.(FB) Hotel: National Park Lodges (NP)

DAY 5: GRAND CANYON – LAKE POWELL – BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Take in the ever-changing views of the Grand Canyon as we travel along the scenic South Rim into the Navajo Indian Reservation. We continue into Utah and see the white shoreline of Lake Powell before reaching the pink and orange spires called hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park. (FB BD) Hotel: Ruby's Inn (F)

DAY 6: BRYCE – ZION NATIONAL PARK – LAS VEGAS (2)
Travelling through the incredible scenery of Southern Utah, crossing Red Canyon and the Checkerboard Mesa, we arrive in the lush valley of Zion National Park. Explore this dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs. From here, we travel into Nevada to the neon oasis of Las Vegas. We spend two nights in this man-made wonder, home to world-class casinos, top-rated shows and extravagant hotels. (FB) Hotel: Paris Las Vegas (SF) (2 nights)

DAY 7: LAS VEGAS AT LEISURE
The choices are endless: Hit the casinos, do some shopping and enjoy lunch at one of the city’s elegant restaurants. If you’re feeling adventurous, take an optional tour to Hoover Dam, the engineering marvel that spans the Colorado River. Or just lounge a while by the hotel pool, browse the exclusive shops and visit a spa for a rejuvenating massage. (FB)

DAY 8: LAS VEGAS – MAMMOTH LAKES
Today's drive takes us through the Mojave Desert and into the eastern slopes of California's Sierra Nevada. We arrive in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, a popular ski resort. This evening is at leisure. (Weather conditions may cause the Tioga Pass to be closed to traffic, typically from mid-October to the end of the May. In this case, we overnight in Fresno, at the Four Points By Sheraton.) DAY 9: MAMMOTH LAKES – YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
This morning we drive over the scenic Tioga Pass (weather permitting) into beautiful Yosemite National Park. Here we will see some of the park's most famous sights such as El Capitan, Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. (FB D) Hotel: Yosemite View Lodge (MF)

DAY 10: YOSEMITE – NAPA/SONOMA – SAN FRANCISCO (2)
Heading down the slopes of the Sierra Nevada, travel through the bucolic landscape of the famous Napa and Sonoma valleys, home to world-renowned wineries. Continue along the scenic Carneros Highway and stop at a family-owned vineyard for an exclusive winery experience. Meet with the owners for a private tour of their winery. Sample estate-produced wines and olive oil served with local artisan cheeses and cured meats, followed by a delicious 'Be My Guest' Lunch of local fresh produce, served alfresco with sweeping views over the vineyards of the Sonoma Valley. Journey south and cross the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. This evening, enjoy a Highlight Dinner at a popular restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf. DAY 11: SAN FRANCISCO SIGHTSEEING & AT LEISURE
This morning we explore the main highlights of San Francisco, including Golden Gate Park, Telegraph Hill, North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. The afternoon and evening are free for you to explore on your own. (FB)

DAY 12: SAN FRANCISCO – CARMEL – MONTEREY
Venture south and visit the historic Mission San Juan Bautista. From here travel on to Carmel, a retreat frequented by celebrities, writers and artists. Next journey along the stunning coastline of 17 Mile Drive, home to multi-million dollar mansions and the Pebble Beach Golf Links. In the afternoon, arrive at the seaside city of Monterey. DAY 13: MONTEREY – SAN SIMEON – SANTA BARBARA
Travel south down the coast on your way to Hearst Castle, once the home of one of America’s most powerful men. After a guided tour of his fabulous residence, continue to sun-kissed Santa Barbara. This evening, toast your vacation and newfound friends with a California wine pairing at a fun Farewell Dinner. (FB FD) Hotel: Hotel Hyatt Santa Barbara (F)

DAY 14: SANTA BARBARA - DEPART LOS ANGELES
Wake to Santa Barbara’s golden beaches and elegant Spanish Revival buildings. Head south to Hollywood and see its landmark sign, Grauman’s Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame. Bid farewell to the City of Angels as you ride down Sunset Boulevard and through Beverly Hills. A complimentary transfer is provided to Los Angeles International Airport and the tour hotel in Los Angeles if you’d like to extend your stay.
