& New England Cruise - Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: UK to New
York Fly to
New York where you’ll be met and transferred to your
overnight hotel
DAY 5: Bar Harbour From Bar Harbor, a village
on the southern coast of Maine, you can easily get to other
parts of this popular resort area, such as the Acadia National
Park, a nature lover’s paradise of mountains and sea
coast, Hulls Cove and Salisbury Cove. Explore
independently or join the optional excursions on offer. (B,L,D)
DAY 2: New York 7 Cruise Ship Free
morning for you to explore New York at leisure and take in
such sights as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire
State Building and Broadway. Maybe you’d like to take
in some of the main areas, like Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenwich
and Broadway. Maybe you’ll prefer a bit of shopping,
at very favourable prices, in one of the many department stores,
like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. Transfer to your
cruise ship, the NCL Norwegian Spirit, for an afternoon departure.
Settle into your cabin, have a first look around the ship
and meet you fellow travellers over dinner this evening. (D)
DAY 6: Boston Boston,
the city where the idea of American independence was born.
Admire historic sights, such as the Old South Meeting House,
the Public Gardens, the Old North Church, Beacon Hill, and
the U.S.S. Constitution. Later, why not stop at the famed
Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, a lively concourse of boutiques,
food shops, restaurants and pavement cafes.(B,L,D)
DAY 3: At Sea A leisurely day’s
cruising towards northwards along the coastline. Relax and
enjoy the many facilities, the superb entertainment and the
sumptuous meals on board. Do a spot of sunbathing or find
a quiet spot and catch up on your reading. If you feel energetic,
the fitness centre and the jogging/walking track provide plenty
of opportunity to work up an appetite.

DAY 7: Martha's Vineyard Visit
Martha’s Vineyard on Chappaquiddick Island to the south
of Cape Cod, originally home to one of the earliest deaf communities
that developed their own sign language, known as ‘Martha’s
Vineyard Sign Language’. See Vineyard Haven, West Tisbury,
Chilmark and the Victorian-era summer resort of Oak Bluffs
with its gingerbread cottages and gazebos. Explore independently
or join the optional excursions payable on board the ship.

DAY 4: Halifax Governor Edward Cornwallis
and 2500 settlers created Canada’s first permanent British
town here in 1749, on the scenic shores of of the world’s
second largest natural harbour. Explore Halifax, the capital
city of Nova Scotia and a busy port on the southern part of
the province’s eastern shore. Down on the harbour front
the warehouses have been refurbished as historic properties,
a lovely area of artists’ galleries, shops, restaurants
and taverns with open-air terraces. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: New York & Inflight Docking
at the super piers of the Manhattan waterfront early in the
morning, you will have excellent access to the city. At leisure
to seek out your favourite sights, maybe do some last minute
shopping until after lunch, then transfer to the airport for
your return flight to the UK. (B)
DAY 9: Arrive UK Arrival
back in the UK.

The same goes for the way you dress. Smart casual is fine
anytime day or evening, but if you'd like to dress up in black
tie or cocktail dress, there's always an optional formal evening
in a designated main restaurant when you be as glamorous as
you like.
Tipping is just as easy and unobtrusive as the Freestyle Cruising
formula lets you settle up with one straightforward service
charge on your last day.
