30: Highlights of Istria Tour (optional) Join a full-day tour along the coast of Istria, visiting the picturesque town of Rovinj, beautifully situated on a headland overlooking the sea. During the day we also visit the seaside town of Porec on the western coast, a town with a long history which nurtures remnants of its past. Nowadays, the town is recognised as a premier seaside resort with its blue flag beaches. B,D |

YEAR'S EVE: Pula (included) Join an excursion for shopping and sightseeing in the largest city in Istria, Pula. Here you can see much evidence of the Roman period, including the huge Arena, or amphitheatre, sixth largest in the world, and also one of the best preserved. Like Verona in Italy, the arena is still used during the summer months for festivals. Return to our hotel in plenty of time to prepare for tonight’s festivities at our hotel. B,D |

| You’ll stay for five nights
at the 4-star Hotel Thaler in Kufstein. The hotel has a restaurant
and bar and all bedrooms have T.V, and telephone. Then you’ll stay for five nights in the charming coastal resort of Rabac, one of Istria’s largest beach resorts. The name of your hotel will be confirmed with your travel documents before departure and will be a minimum 3-star standard hotel, such as the Hotel Mimosa, Hedera or Narcis in Rabac. All bedrooms will have T.V. and telephone. Overnight stay on return journey in Austria will be in a 3-star hotel and overnights in Belgium will be in city style hotels. |
