CHRISTMAS EVE: Strasbourg

We make the short journey into France to visit the premier
city of Strasbourg, seat of the Council of Europe and of
the European Parliament, but also famed for its lovely old
buildings, especially around the marvellous sandstone cathedral.
The city’s annual Christmas market has been a tradition
since 1570. Perhaps pick up a few last-minute Christmas
presents! B,D
CHRISTMAS
DAY: Black Forest Scenic Drive (included) Happy
Christmas, everyone! A morning at leisure followed by lunch.
In the afternoon enjoy a scenic drive through the northern
Black Forest. Return to the hotel to prepare for this evening’s
five-course gala dinner and entertainment. B,L,D
BOXING
DAY: Freiburg & Titisee (included) We travel
first to the cathedral city of Freiburg, with its impressive
medieval red sandstone Minster in the large square, then
we continue on through the Hoellen Valley to the picturesque
town of Titisee, at the head of lovely Titisee Lake in a
magnificent setting amidst pine-clad hills. Have a refreshing
wander on the side of the lake and perhaps a warming coffee
and cake, before we return through the hills of the Black
Forest to Offenburg. B,D

Return
to Belgium for an overnight stay. B
