Your Guide to the Christmas Markets of Brussels

The Christmas markets bring this already cosmopolitan city to life, with local musicians, painters and jugglers providing the entertainment. The stalls are located around the Stock Exchange, Place Sainte Cathérine and the Fish Market, and offer a fine selection of festive gifts and souvenirs.

Itinerary
DAY 1: Local departure then onward to Belgium for a 2 or 3-night stay. DAY 2: Brussels. B DAY 3: Valkenburg (4 day break only). B		DAY 3: (3-day break) or DAY 4: (4-day break) We have a brief visit to medieval Bruges, before returning to the UK. B Included Meals: B=Breakfast

Your Hotel

3-DAY BREAK You'll stay for two nights at the 4-star Holiday Inn Ghent Expo on the outskirts of Ghent. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer, air-conditioning and tea/coffee-making facilities. The local tram service allows easy access into the city.
Please Note: on some occasions, we may use other hotels of a 3-star standard, such as the Novotel Brussels Airport or the Hotel Olympia in Bruges.

4-DAY BREAK Executive coaches will stay for three nights at the 3-star Mercure Brussels Airport, while Silver Service coaches will stay for three nights at the Mercure Brussels Centre Louise. All bedrooms have T.V and telephone.
Please Note: on some occasions, we may use other hotels of a 4-star standard in the Brussels area, such as the Gresham Belson.

The market, with its cheerful lights, delicious aromas and a vast number of stalls, promises a true festive atmosphere. In addition to the Christmas market, the ice-skating rink offers fun for all. Visit the beautiful Grand Place, decorated in festive lights for the occasion.

Day 3 (4-day break only) Valkenburg* (included)
Enjoy the festive splendour of the Christmas market in the Town Cave (Gemeentegrot), the oldest and largest underground Christmas market in Europe. The ancient galleries and the stylish dramatisation of an episode from Valkenburg’s rich history provide the perfect backdrop to this uniquely appealing occasion. The Christmas market is embellished with song and music, offering many tempting seasonal attractions for sale.

We have a brief visit to medieval Bruges, before returning to the U.K.
