Christmas Markets Rhine Cruise - 4 Day Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: Travel to join our cruise ship,
the ‘Prinses Juliana’, in Konigswinter.
DAY 2: Cologne (included) Today we
cruise to Cologne to experience the magic
of the Christmas markets. Cologne has six
Christmas markets located in different areas
of the city, and one of the most popular is
situated at the Alter Markt, with
half-timbered stands, set amongst the
beautiful backdrop of the Old Town. We
will join our guide for an included perfume
and chocolate walking tour. We visit the
museum dedicated to the famous ‘Farina’
cologne, and the Imhoff chocolate
museum, where we discover the secrets of
chocolate production, and have the
opportunity to sample the local produce.
Enjoy free time in Cologne this evening to
explore the markets and sample the festive
specialities, and, perhaps to enjoy a meal in
one of the traditional restaurants. B
DAY 3:
Düsseldorf (included)
We continue our cruise to Düsseldorf. Boasting two main
Christmas markets, located in the Old Town and around the
Schadowplatz, Düsseldorf is also home to the Königsallee,
one of Germany’s most fashionable shopping streets. A local
guide will join us to give a tour of the shopping area.
Before returning to our ship, we have time to explore the
wooden stalls of the Christmas markets. A farewell dinner
is included on board ship this evening. B,D

We leave
our ship at Düsseldorf after breakfast and then return
home. B

The M.S. ‘Prinses Juliana’ is a 3-star standard cruise ship.
Onboard facilities feature three decks, including a sun deck,
and a lounge, bar and restaurant. All cabins are located on
the Main Deck and have twin beds, telephone and hairdryer.
Each night the ship will moor in a central location of town,
allowing you to easily visit the main sights and the Christmas
markets.
