Local departure then to our hotel on the outskirts of Leeds for a three-night stay. D

DAY 2: North York Moors and Whitby
Included excursion as we travel through the beautiful North York Moors, a rolling landscape of heatherclad hills, charming villages and a stunning coastline, to Whitby. Explore the bustling lanes leading down to the harbourside. Later we head to the market town of Pickering and then Goathland, with its famous station, better known to many as Heartbeat's 'Aidensfield', and as 'Hogsmeade' in the Harry Potter series. B,D

DAY 3: Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales
Included visit to the elegant spa-town of Harrogate. Be sure to try a cream tea in Betty's Tea Rooms. Our day continues with a tour of the Yorkshire Dales and a visit to the historic market towns of Grassington and Skipton. B,D

DAY 4: York
Included morning in historic York. See the impressive York Minster and explore the shops and cafés in the timber-framed buildings that line the cobbled streets and the medieval Shambles, recently voted Britain's most picturesque street. We leave York and return to your original joining point. B
