Itinerary
DAY 1:
UK to Reims To
Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais, and then onwards to
our overnight stop in Northern France.
DAY 8:
Aosta Valley to N. France Departing
Aosta, we head back through France today, and to our overnight
hotel. (B,D)
DAY 2: Reims to Aosta Valley Over the
border in to Italy to the stunning Aosta Valley, nestled beneath
Mont Blanc. We stay in the beautiful town of Aosta for six
nights at the Hotel Norden Palace (4*). (B,D)
DAY 9: N. France to UK To Calais, across to Dover,
and home. (B)
DAY 3 to 7: Aosta Valley At leisure in the picturesque
Aosta Valley. Enjoy the atmospheric town, with its beautiful
pedestrianised centre and Roman remains. Enjoy our included
excursions to three of the stunning castles in the valley,
and in to the Gran Paradiso
National Park. (B,D)

Sarre Castle & Gran Paradiso
National Park Firstly to Sarre Castle,
once owned by King Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy. We then
continue along the valley to the spectacular Gran Paradiso
- one of Italys largest National Parks, a rotected area at
the foot of the spectacular Gran Paradiso mountain, with many
and varied species of plant and animal, and an area of outstanding
natural beauty.
Issogne & Fenis Castle We journey along Aosta
Valley this morning, to two of the regions most spectacular
castles. Fenis castle, a medieval structure, is surrounded
by impressive walls and towers, and inside you can admire
the inner courtyard, the chapel, and the 15th century frescoes.
Close to the village of Verres, we stop to visit Issognes
castle, which contains many ancient pieces, and again wonderful
frescoes which decorate the walls and give an insight to life
in days gone by.
