and visits
Porec Sightseeing (optional,

Our guided walking tour
takes in the main sights of the town, including the 6th-century
Basilica and the old Roman ruins.
Postojna Caves and Lipica Stud
Farm (optional).
We visit the aweinspiring
caves at Postojna, where we take
an underground train through magically lit
halls to view the beautiful formations of
stalagmites and stalactites. Then it’s onto
the world-famous Lipica Stud Farm to see
the white horses associated with the
Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
The excursion includes entrance to the
caves in Postojna, tour of the Stud Farm at
Lipica and a presentation at the Classical
Riding School at Lipica.
Brioni Islands
(optional).
This group of
14 islands was proclaimed a national park
and memorial centre in 1984. Our visit to
the area includes the national park,
museum, and archaeological and
ethnological collection, with ruins of a
Roman settlement.
Opatija (included).
Enjoy a full-day
excursion to the Opatija Riviera.
This beautiful resort is often referred to as
the ‘Nice of the Adriatic’ on account of its
celebrated seaside promenade, the
Lungomare.
Fish Barbecue Cruise
(optional).
We cruise along the sunny Istrian Coast to
a small bay, where we weigh anchor.
Enjoy a barbecue on board, which
includes an aperitif, a menu of fish
specialties and wine. There’s a chance for
a dip in the warm blue waters, before our
return down the coast.
Flying

choose to travel by air.
Take a ‘flying start’ and join the tour directly on day
2, and/or choose a ‘flying return’ departing for home on
day 8 or 13. Flights are to/from Pula Airport Please call

Please note: If you choose flying start, your departure
date will be one day later than that shown in the price

Your Hotel
You’ll stay for six or eleven nights at the
3-star Hotel Valamar Crystal, situated just
150 metres from the beach and
approximately a 20-minute walk from
Porec town centre. The hotel has a
restaurant, bar, lift and an outdoor
swimming pool. All bedrooms have a
T.V., hairdryer and telephone. Twin rooms
have a balcony, whilst single rooms are
without a balcony. Also included are sun
loungers, aqua-aerobic classes, bike tour
and drinks with your evening meal,
including wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and
coffee. The hotel has become a firm
favourite with Leger customers.
