FULL DAY Today we head west to the cosmopolitan city of Brighton, with plenty of time to enjoy its great diversity of attractions from the Royal Pavilion and Palace Pier to the quirky shops in the famous Lanes. This afternoon we meander through the lovely South Downs countryside, on our way back to Eastbourne. FULL DAY We take the short drive to view Beachy Head, the vast chalk promontory which marks where the Downs are halted by the sea before calling at the picturesque village of Alfriston, in the heart of the South Downs. This afternoon we visit Bexhill-on-Sea, a pleasant resort with golden beaches. |
