FULL DAY This morning to Shrewsbury, one of England's finest Tudor towns. After some time for sightseeing we head into the heart of Shropshire, surrounded by the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge, to the border town of Ludlow, one of Britain's loveliest medieval towns. FULL DAY We head to Ironbridge, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and site of the world's first iron bridge, built across the River Severn between 1711-81 (admission included). We explore the valley, visiting the fascinating museum of Blists Hill Victorian Town and of course have the opportunity to cross the bridge itself. FULL DAY This morning to pretty Bridgnorth, in reality two towns - the low town beside the River Severn and the castled high town, connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. In the afternoon we follow the Severn Valley to reach the cathedral city of Worcester where there is time to explore. |
