DAY 1:
UK to Liege We travel
to Dover for the sailing to Calais, then on across Belgium
and Liege and our overnight stay.
DAY 6: Lechaschau to Leige We retrace our steps through Germany into
Belgium for our final overnight stay. (B,D)
DAY 2: Liege to Lechaschau We continue southwards
through Germany, taking in the dramatic scenery as we cross
the border from Bavaria into Austria, arriving in Lechaschau
in time for dinner. (B,D)
DAY 7: Leige to UK After breakfast we make our way to Calais for
the sailing to Dover and home. (B)
DAYS 3 to 5: Lechaschau At leisure
in Lechaschau, with our excursion programme visiting the fairy-tale
castles of King Ludwig II. (B,D)

outlandish creation, bristling with turrets and
pinnacles. The views from the castle windows
are equally superb. We continue to the lovely
town of Füssen, at the southern end of the

Oberammergau Linderhof
castle was built as King Ludwig’s private residence and features
an Italian Renaissance-style park of terraces, cascades and
pools. The nearby town of Oberammergau is renowned for its
local craftsmen skilled in woodcarving. The town is also host
of the ‘Passion Play’, performed every 10 years by the villagers.
