DAY 1:
UK to N. France To Dover
for the ferry crossing to Calais, and then onwards to our
overnight hotel in northern France.
DAY 8:
Dubrovnik to Ancona Enjoy a
morning at leisure in Dubrovnik, or join the optional excursion
to the pretty village of Trsteno just along the coast from
Dubrovnik, where you can enjoy the wonderful Renaissance botanical
gardens, before we travel on to the small town of Mali Ston
to visit the oyster beds. We then travel to Split for our
evening sailing across the Adriatic towards Italy. We enjoy
dinner and stay overnight on board the ferry. (As there is
no access to the ferry overnight you will need an overnight
bag with any essentials you might require.) (B,D)
DAY 2: N. France to Lake Como Onwards
heading south through France and Switzerland, and in to Italy,
to the shores of stunning Lake Como and dinner and an
overnight stay at the Hotel Continental in Como (3*). (B,D)
DAY 9: Ancona to Rome After breakfast on board
ship, we disembark in Ancona, before journeying across Italy
to the ‘Eternal City’ of Rome. On arrival, we
have an included city tour, visiting some of the many highlights,
before heading to our two night stay at the wonderfully located
Hotel Donna Laura (4*). (B,D)
DAY 3: Lake Como to Venice We continue our journey
across Italy today, leaving the Alps behind, and heading across
the Veneto plains to the awe inspiring city of Venice, where
you will see some of the many bridges and palaces as you explore
this network of canals and waterways. We stay overnight in
Venice Mestre in the Hotel Albatross (4*). (B,D)
DAY 10: Rome At leisure in Rome - simply
wandering through the bustling city centre you will discover
that every corner of this beautiful place beholds a wonder
of history or architecture. There is also the opportunity
to join an optional half day visit to the unforgettable Vatican
and Sistine Chapel. (B,D)
DAY 4: Venice Mestre to Opatija Crossing over the border
in to Slovenia, we take the opportunity to visit the Lipica
Stud Farm, where the horses for the Spanish Riding School
in Vienna are trained. Travelling onwards, we pass in to Croatia,
and the beautiful seaside resort of Opatija, and the Grand
Hotel for our overnight stay (4*). (B,D)
DAY 11: Rome to Florence to Montecatini
Terme Leaving the eternal city
behind, we travel northwards to the city of Florence, regarded
as the intellectual and artistic centre of Italy, blessed
with a multitude of treasures, including the
Duomo, the peculiar Ponte Vechhio bridge, the Piazza della
Signora, and the famous Uffuzi Gallery. Enjoy an included
city tour, before we head to Montecatini Terme, a pleasant
spa town, for our overnight stay at the Hotel Grande Bretagne
(4*). (B,D)
DAY 5: Opatoja to Split Continuing through the
beautiful Croatian countryside, we reach the ancient port
of Split, idyllically located on the Adriatic coast. There
is an optional city tour, and time at leisure in the city,
before we head to the Hotel Marjan for our
overnight stay (3*). (B,D)
DAY 12: Montecatini Terme to Basel Leaving Italy behind, we
head northwards through the Alps, to our overnight stay at
the Hotel Alexander in Basel (3*). (B,D)
DAY 6: Split to Dubrovnik South along the coast,
passing stunning scenery every step of the way, we make our
way through beautiful countryside to the city of Dubrovnik,
a UNESCO heritage site, located in the south of the country.
We then head to the Hotel Tirena for our two night stay (3*).

DAY 13: Basel to N. France Through France, passing
the changing scenery and distinct wine regions, as we head
to northern France for our last night. (B,D)
DAY 7: Dubrovnik At leisure in Dubrovnik,
with an included city tour as we discover some of the highlights
of this wonderful city. (B,D)
DAY 14: N. France to UK To Calais for the ferry
crossing to Dover, and then onwards home. (B)
