Day 1:
UK to N. France
To Dover
and across the Channel by ferry to Calais and into Northern
France for our overnight stay. (D) |
Day 8:
Ulvik A free day in Ulvik. Why not join the optional
‘Norway in a Nutshell’ excursion and see some
magnificent scenery from the comfort of a boat
and train. The journey from Myrdal to Flåm is a
railway experience unparallelled in Europe;
twelve miles long with twenty tunnels where the
train spirals in and out of the mountainside.(B,D) |
Day 2: N. France to Hamburg
Across Belgium and Holland,
into Germany and Hamburg where we stay on the city's outskirts
at the Ramada Treff Hotel Hamburg- Bergdorf (3*). (B,D) |
Day 9: Ulvik to Oslo
We journey past Geilo and Gol and through the
Hallingdal before arriving in the ‘Viking’ capital,
Oslo. We spend the night at the Rica Bygdøy Alle
(3*). (B,D) |
Day 3: Hamburg to Hjoerring
We start the day with an
optional guided tour of Hamburg before we continue northwards
and cross into Denmark. We head for Hirtshals in the north
of Jutland where we spend the night at the Hotel Skaga (4*).

Day 10: Oslo to Copenhagen There is an included guided city tour this morning
which gives you the opportunity to explore the
oldest of the Scandinavian capitals. We have also
included a visit to the world famous Viking
Museum where you can admire some incredibly
well preserved 9th century ships and learn about
the trials and tribulations of the mythical Vikings.
In the afternoon we board the overnight ferry to
Copenhagen, accommodation is in two-berth
cabins with private facilities, and dinner and
breakfast are included.(B,D) |
Day 4: Hirtshals to Vrådal
Norway bound
today! Leaving from the port of Hirtshals, we can sit back
and relax on the ferry for approximately four hours whilst
we cross the North Sea. After our arrival in Kristiansand
we drive through the Norwegian countryside to the beautiful
Telemark area for our two night stay at the Vrådal Hotel

Day 11: Copenhagen
Arrival in Copenhagen this morning and we start
the day with an included city tour. Enjoy the Little
Mermaid, the Royal Palace and the colourful
Nyhavn harbour. Afternoon at leisure in the city,
and we highly recommend a visit to the Tivoli
Gardens. Overnight at the Glostrup Park Hotel

Day 5: Telemark
An included scenic drive
through the stunning Telemark region. Vradal is on the shores
of Lake Nisser and our excursion will start along the lake.

Day 12: Copenhagen to Bremen
An included guided city tour of Copenhagen
today as we see the famous ‘Little Mermaid’
statue and admire the beautiful harbour of
Nyhavn. We then journey southwards to
Rodbyhavn for the ferry to Puttgarden in
Germany. Then along to Bremen for our
overnight stay at the Ramada Treff Uberseehotel

Day 6: Vrådal to Ulvik
We head for Norway’s fjords, passing alongside Sorfjord before finally crossing the Hardanger
Fjord to spend the next three nights in Ulvik.
Lying directly on the Hardanger Fjord, the village
has wooden houses and shops but its main
attraction is certainly the calm and tranquillity and
dramatic surroundings which frame the fjord.

Day 13: Bremen to N. France
Through Holland and Belgium before spending
the final night of our holiday in Northern France.

Day 7: Bergen
A full day excursion to explore one of the most
enjoyable cities in Norway. Situated between
seven hills and sheltered to the north and west by
numerous straggling islands and fjords, Bergen
has enjoyed a rich history over the last 900 years.
The colourful houses along the ‘Bryggen’ is a
legacy of the merchants who made Bergen one
of the ‘Hanseatic League’ ports. (B,D) |
Day 14: N. France to UK
To Calais, across to Dover and home. (B) |
