DAY 1:
Local departure by coach then to Belgium for an overnight stay.

DAY 2:
Continue to Austria for an overnight stay. B,D

DAY 3: Salzburg
Included visit to Salzburg, where you can take an optional guided tour. We continue south to our hotel in Carinthia for a seven-night stay. B,D

DAY 4: Villach & Alpenstrasse
Included excursion firstly to the pretty town of Villach, on the banks of the River Drau. Enjoy a stroll around the pedestrianised Hauptplatz, with its medieval and Renaissance buildings. In the afternoon we enjoy a scenic drive along the Villach Alpenstrasse, towards the Dobratsch Mountain. Enjoy superb panoramic views over Villach and the Julian Alps. B,D

DAY 5: Three Countries Tour
Today's optional excursion is a day of contrasts, as we visit three countries – Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Our first stop is the Italian market town of Tarvisio. We continue on to Kranjska Gora in Slovenia, a popular winter and summer destination, before we arrive at the lakeside resort of Bled. After some free time we return over the Wurzenpass to Austria. DAY 7: Spittal an der Drau, Millstatter See & Gmund
Today's included excursion takes us first to Spittal an der Drau, regarded as the gateway to the Millstatter See and home to one of Austria's finest Renaissance castles, the Schloss Porcia. Spend time on Millstatter See, perhaps with a boat trip, before we continue our scenic drive along the Malta Valley, known as the 'valley of cascading waters'. On the way back, we visit Gmund where you will be able to explore one of the bestpreserved medieval small towns in southern Austria. B,D

DAY 8: Nockalm & Bad Kleinkircheim
Enjoy breathtaking scenery on our optional scenic drive along the Nockalm Mountain Road and through the National Park, and become enchanted by the natural beauty of the region. On our return, we make a stop in the picturesque spa-town of Bad Kleinkircheim. B,D

DAY 10: Salzkammergut
We leave Carinthia and head into the beautiful Salzkammergut with time in the resort of St. Wolfgang. Continue into Germany and our overnight hotel in Bavaria. B,D

DAY 11: Rhine Valley & Rhine Cruise
We travel along the romantic Rhine Valley, spending time in the pretty riverside town of Boppard with the chance to enjoy an optional cruise on the Rhine. Continue to Belgium and our overnight hotel. B

DAY 12:
To Calais, then return home. B
