Lucca is one
of Italy’s finest medieval towns and home
to the Cathedral of San Martino and the
Piazza Napoleone. We see the worldfamous
town of Pisa in the afternoon.
Siena (optional, included
on Silver Service).
The Gothic ‘city of the
blessed Virgins’ is centred on the ‘red’ Piazza del Campo.
We see the famous cathedral, the Sala del Pellegrinaio, and
admire the view from the Facciatone, or ‘big facade’.
Florence (included).
The capital of Tuscany
contributed much to the cultural development of Europe. Our
optional guided sightseeing tour visits the Bargello Museum
and the Piazza della Signoria.
Bologna (optional).
Surrounded by hills, Bologna’s
city centre is still much as it was during the Renaissance,
with dusky redcoloured buildings, wide piazzas and arched
porticoes with floors laid with marble. Our optional guided
sightseeing tour will help you discover the best of this city.

to travel by air.
Take a ‘flying start’ and join the tour directly on day
2, and/or choose a ‘flying return’ departing for home on

Your Hotel
You will stay for five
nights at the 4-star Grand Hotel Plaza & Locanda Maggiore
in Montecatini Terme. Situated only a short stroll from the
centre of this spa town, the hotel has a lounge, restaurant,
bar, lift and outdoor swimming pool (seasonal). All bedrooms
have T.V., telephone, safe, air-conditioning and hairdryer.
The hotel was once the home of Giuseppe Verdi and it was here
that he composed some of his masterpieces.
