2012 is a special year in Holland, as once every ten years the country stages Floriade - a magnificent
world horticultural exhibition, showcasing the vibrant colours and senses that have made Holland
the country of flowers. Our special 'Floriade' tour, is based in the popular tourist centre of
Valkenburg which has a unique history and continental character amid, by Dutch standards, an
unusually rolling landscape. Enjoy the lively pavement cafes, shop for tempting local specialities,
or simply relax in the pretty flower gardens. During the week we have laid on two superb full day
excursions - one to the Floriade 2012 exhibition and the other to explore this delightful region, often
referred to as 'Little Switzerland'. |

FULL DAY A unique opportunity to visit the Floriade 2012 exhibition (admission included). To be staged in the town of Venlo on the banks of the River Maas, this world event is only held in Holland every ten years, showcasing every aspect of Dutch horticulture with fantastic displays of flowers, plants, bulbs, fruit, vegetables and trees across five themed zones. In addition exhibits and events from around the world make this a truly global event and not to be missed - remember the next event is not for another ten years! FULL DAY Today we head into Germany and to the Eifel Mountains where we make our way to the picture-postcard town of Monschau, characterised by its half-timbered buildings in a steep-sided valley, overlooked by a medieval castle. On our return we pause at Dreilandereck, where Belgium, Germany and Holland meet, to visit the hillside viewpoint overlooking the three countries. |

Seat numbers are not allocated on regional transfer services and Jersey by Sea & Air holidays. In most cases on coaches equipped with a rear mounted WC, seats 23 and 24 move to the driver's side of the vehicle, whilst seats 45 and 46 move one seat forward of the rear seat. |
