Italy - Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1:
Home to cork tp Mallow Make
your own way to your chosen airport for the flight to Cork,
from where you will be met and transferred to Mallow, where
we spend the next four nights at the welcoming Hibernian Hotel
with nightly entertainment.
DAY 4:
Full day Blarney Castle and Kinsale Today we first visit Blarney Castle for an included
visit, where, for the more adventurous, you can
climb the stairs to kiss the Blarney Stone if you
dare! We continue on to Kinsale, one of the most
fashionable resorts of the west coast of Ireland,
nestling between the hills and the shoreline. It has
retained much of the flavour of its rich maritime
history, and is a delight to explore. We continue
on then as far as the busy little town of Clonakilty
before making our way back to Mallow.
DAY 2: Full Day Cork, Cobh & Midleton This morning
we travel directly to Cork, the perfect place to start your
tour of this beautiful corner of Ireland. The city itself
is built on an island, surrounded by the two channels of the
River Lee is full of pretty bridges and narrow alleys. On
then to the beautiful harbour town of Cobh, which has long
been an important port in Irish history. After time to explore,
we continue on to Midleton where we follow the Distillery
Trail, here you can view the largest pot still in the world
and sample the internationally renowned Jameson Whiskey!
DAY 5: Full Day Kenmare & The Beara
Peninsula The charming town of Kenmare, a haven of
tranquillity, set in some of the most breathtaking
scenery in Europe. It links the famous Ring of
Kerry with the lesser known barren and remote
Beara Peninsula, still a relatively inspoiled area of
Ireland, which we then go out to explore.
DAY 3: A free day in Mallow Enjoy a free day in Mallow
to explore at leisure, or alternatively you may wish to join
an optional excursion (extra charge; details available from
your driver)
DAY 6: Mallow to Cork to Home After breakfast you will
be transferred back to Cork Airport for your return flight
home with fond memories of your stay in the Emerald Isle.
