Norwegian Fjords Apple Blossom Cruise - 7 Day Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1:
From your selected joining point by coach to London Tilbury to join the MS Marco Polo to set sail at 1730 hrs. D
DAY 2:
Spend the day cruising at sea north towards Norway. B,L,D
DAY 3:
You awake to find yourself cruising gently along the splendid Hardangerfjord and your first stop is at the pretty village of Ulvik, arriving at 0730 hrs. Travelling to shore by launch or tender, you may wish to join the optional overland tour and rejoin the ship during the afternoon, or maybe you will decide to stay on board and cruise the short passage into the small fjord that bears the name of Eidfjord, your next port of call arriving at 1430 hrs. We set sail again at 1800 hrs to begin our journey to the mighty Sognefjord. B,L,D
DAY 4:
At 0800 hrs we arrive at Vik. From here, transferring to shore by launch or tender join the optional Norway in a Nutshell excursion which rejoins the ship later in Flåm. Situated at the head of the smaller Aurlandsfjord, Flåm is the terminus of the incredible Flåmsbana, the amazing railway line that climbs up a 1 in 18 gradient to Myrdal and ultimately links the district with Bergen and Oslo. The optional Flåm Railway tour today is one of the true highlights of your cruise. We set sail again from Flåm at 1930 hrs. B,L,D
DAY 5:
We arrive at the delightful Hanseatic port of Bergen at 0730 hrs. Here you can shop and explore to your heart’s delight or simply enjoy the ambience of the historic Bryggen district. We set sail from Bergen at 1800 hrs. B,L,D
DAY 6:
Cruising at sea. B,L,D.
DAY 7:
Arrive London, Tilbury at 0730 hrs, then reboard our coach for our homeward journey.

Your Cruise Ship
The MS MARCO POLO with her handsome, traditional profile, beautiful teak decks and her distinctive dark blue hull and deep draft, is a fully stabilised and air-conditioned classic ocean liner, extensively re-built in 1993 for the discerning cruise market. There are eight passenger decks serviced by three main lobbies and four lifts. The wide range of public facilities include the impressive Seven Seas Restaurant offering two-sitting dining or, as an alternative dining experience, the more informal and stylish Raffles bistro. There are five lounge areas, specialising in British-style entertainment. These comprise of the theatre style Ambassador main show Lounge, the elegant Polo Lounge, the perfect venue for pre-dinner cocktails accompanied by the resident pianist, the Charleston Club up on the Promenade Deck, an ideal spot for the night owls, or the relaxing Palm Court with wonderful panoramic ocean views, and the extended Le Bar offering yet another comfortable option. Other amenities include the ship’s attractive well-stocked library and card room, the internet centre, the spacious shopping arcade and photo library, the Spa, the Fitness and Beauty Centre with sauna, gym and massage facilities, an outdoor pool and a main lobby area with a reception and tours desk.

Your Cabin
Cabins are situated on seven decks and amenities comprise en-suite facilities including a shower, washbasin, toilet and a hairdryer. All cabins also have a television with satellite channels and in-house movies, telephone, hairdryer, two music channels and a personal safe.

Cabin Categories
1 Standard Twin Inner
Located on Safari and Pacific Decks, these smaller cabins have two lower beds.
2 Standard Plus Twin Inner
Comprising two lower beds, there are four of these slightly larger cabins on Safari Deck, whilst the majority are situated on Pacific & Bali Decks. Six of these cabins have an additional Pullman berth for a third passenger.
3 Superior Twin Inner
Most cabins are located throughout Main Deck but there are six slightly smaller cabins situated on Promenade Deck All comprise two lower beds.
4 Premium Twin Inner
Main, Promenade and Upper Decks. They comprise of two lower beds but the majority of cabins in this grade can also offer accommodation for a third or fourth passenger in additional upper pullman berths. Cabins 631 and 655 on Promenade Deck are specifically equipped for disabled passengers.
6 Standard Twin Outer
Situated on the Safari and Pacific Decks, these cabins have twin lower beds and most benefit from ocean views through two portholes.
7 Standard Twin Outer
Comprising two lower beds, these slightly larger cabins are located on Safari, Pacific & Bali Decks and the majority enjoy ocean views through two portholes.
8 Standard Plus Twin Outer
This grade of cabins extends over three decks with larger cabins found on the Safari and Pacific Decks, and the more compact located on the higher Bali Deck. Most cabins have two portholes. A number of the lower deck cabins have additional berths for a third or fourth occupant.
9 Superior Twin Outer
These cabins are situated on the higher Promenade & Upper Decks and whilst they have windows rather than portholes, some, primarily on Upper Deck have obstructed sightlines.
11 Superior Plus Twin Outer
There are six cabins situated forward on Promenade Deck whilst the remainder of the Superior Plus accommodation is located in the forward and after sections of Main Deck. They have a window. The Main Deck aft cabins (504 to 545) feature twin beds that convert to a Queen Size bed.
12 Premium Twin Outer
These spacious premium cabins are primarily located in the midships section of Main Deck and here all the twin bed cabins (except 432 & 433) can convert to a Queen Size bed. There are also two forward cabins on Promenade Deck with Queen Size beds and three forward cabins on Upper Deck. The remaining cabins of this grade are on Sky, the highest passenger deck, but have views partially obstructed by the lifeboats. Each cabin has a large window.
5 Single Inner
Two of these comfortable cabins are on Safari Deck and three are located on the Upper Deck. They are particularly well suited to the single traveller.
10 Single Outer
Ten outside twin bed cabins, deemed as particularly suitable for sole occupancy, have been selected on Main and Promenade Decks for single travellers. They have a window. Some have partially obstructed views.
