DAY
1: LONDON – PARIS (2 nights)
From the White Cliffs of Dover, cross the Channel to Calais. Drive past
the Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ridge before continuing via the Somme
First World War battlefields to Paris. Enjoy a Welcome Reception with
Welcome Drinks and dinner in the evening with your fellow companions
and Travel Director. Later an orientation drive will show you some of the
magical sights which await you – a perfect introduction to your holiday!

DAY
2: PARIS SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Drive along the famous Champs Élysées to view the Arc de Triomphe,
beneath which lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Your expert
guided sightseeing tour includes a trip up the Eiffel Tower to the
second level for a breathtaking views of the city. Spend the afternoon
visiting the sights of your choice. Perhaps take an excursion to the
Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. (BB)
DAY
3: PARIS – LUCERNE
See the sprawling vineyards of Auxerrois and Burgundy as you journey
south, passing the medieval castle of Châteauneuf. Cross the border
into Switzerland where the scenery is a kaleidoscope of colour. View the
beautiful Lake Lucerne. Walk across the 14th century wooden Chapel
Bridge and visit the emotive Lion of Lucerne during your afternoon

DAY
4: LUCERNE – ST. GOTTHARD – VENICE
Travel the scenic St. Gotthard Region through the Alps and cross the
border at Chiasso into Italy. Catch a glimpse of the Italian Lake Region,
a popular retreat for aristocrats since Roman times. Pass Verona and
arrive in Venice, Queen of the Adriatic. (BB D)

DAY
5: VENICE ORIENTATION – FLORENCE
Your private motor launch takes you to St. Mark's Square to view the
Bridge of Sighs and the Doge's Palace. Witness a glass-blowing
demonstration at one of the oldest workshops on the island, then
spend your free time discovering Venice's hidden gems. Afterwards,
cross the Apennine Mountains to Florence, birthplace of the
Renaissance and your home for the night. (BB D)

6: FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING – ROME (2 NIGHTS)
Your expert Local Guide reveals a wealth of fascinating insights during
your guided walk around Florence, a city with a rich Renaissance
history. View the marble Duomo engineered by Brunelleschi and the
magnificent doors of the Baptistery. Admire the Ponte Vecchio which
spans the River Arno and marvel at the impressive sculptures and
stunning palazzi in the city. Shop for 18-carat gold jewellery and the
finest Italian leather goods before heading to Rome, the last stop on

DAY
7: ROME SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a tour of St. Peter's Basilica in
the Vatican City, one of the largest and most significant churches in
the Christian world. Here you will view Michelangelo's Renaissance
masterpiece, the Pieta. Perhaps consider an optional excursion to the
Sistine Chapel. See the Roman Forum and Colosseum, site of ancient
gladiatorial contests and public events. Spend time this afternoon
visiting the sights of your choice. Make sure to capture a magic
moment as you toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain. This evening, join
your travelling companions and Travel Director for a Farewell Dinner in

8: DEPART HOME
Say 'arrivederci' to Rome and your travelling companions, and return
