DAY 1 UK COPENHAGEN
After your scheduled flight to Copenhagen Airport, there are
complimentary transfers to your tour hotel at 10.30, 12.30 & 15.30hrs. Enjoy a Welcome Drink and

11 NORTH CAPE - ALTA
Return to the mainland,
travelling through stony, near-deserted Finnmark to Alta,
situated on one of the world’s richest salmon rivers. Hotel:

DAY 2 COPENHAGEN SIGHTSEEING
Go down to the harbour to greet Hans Christian
Andersen’s Little Mermaid before a Highlight visit takes you inside Christiansborg (the Danish
Parliament). See the Rosenborg and Amalienborg Palaces and the Renaissance Stock Exchange.
Consider also joining a tour through the Danish countryside. (BB) |

12 ALTA - NARVIK
Pass the fjord where
the battleship Tirpitz hid in World War Two, before travelling
through stunning northern scenery past mountains and fjords

3 COPENHAGEN - STOCKHOLM
Drive to Elsinore to
see Hamlet’s Kronborg Castle before taking a ferry across
to Sweden. Drive along Lake Vattern to arrive in Stockholm,
which is set on 14 beautiful islands. Hotel: Scandic Alvik.

13 NARVIK AT LEISURE
A day has been set aside for you to enjoy at your own pace. Perhaps visit the War Museum, or take a superb mountain train into Sweden for the afternoon? (BB) |

4 STOCKHOLM - OVERNIGHT CRUISE
The charms of Sweden's
capital are revealed with your local guide. Visit the City
Hall’s ‘Gold Room’, the medieval Old Town and see the cathedral.
Visit the 17th century Wasa Galleon, one of the greatest attractions
of northern Europe, then embark on a Baltic cruise to Finland.

DAY
14 NARVIK - MOSJOEN
Take a ferry across Tysfjord and pass Rago National Park,
its fjords cutting deep into the landscape. Bid farewell to the Arctic before reaching Mosjoen, a pleasant
town on the Vefsnfjord, which has the oldest octagonal church in Norway. Hotel: Fru Haugans. (BB,D) |
DAY 5 HELSINKI SIGHTSEEING
Disembark in the heart
of Helsinki to visit the ‘Church in the Rock’ and Sibelius
Monument. Also see Finlandia Hall, the Russian Orthodox church

15 MOSJOEN - TRONDHEIM
Drive through Namdal to the Laksfoss Falls to see leaping salmon before continuing on to the village of Hell and to Trondheim to see the cathedral.

6 HELSINKI - KUOPIO
Travel through a land
of beautiful lakes and forests before enjoying an ascent of
Kuopio Viewing Tower to find out why Finland is called the

16 TRONDHEIM - GEIRANGER
Cross the Dovre Mountains,
which form Norway’s oldest National Park. Arrive at Geirangerfjord
to embark on a spectacular Highlight cruise beneath towering

7 KUOPIO - ROVANEIMI
On towards the Arctic and into Lapland, the home of the

A day of relaxation amid the fjords and mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage area. Consider taking an excursion along the Trolls’ Road. (BB,D) |

Visit Aalvar Aalto’s
Lapponia House and the Cathedral. Later, perhaps choose to
view the open-air museum and try a traditional Lapp dinner.

18 GEIRANGER
- OSLO
Travel to Lom to see
the Norwegian stave church dating back to 1130 before continuing
through the countryside of "Peer Gynt", immortalised by Ibsen,
to Oyer to see the world’s largest Troll. After stopping in
Lillehammer, host of the 1994 Winter Olympics, it’s on to

9 ROVANIEMI - IVALO
Look out for Santa Claus as you cross the Arctic Circle, receiving a certificate to prove it. On your way to the oldest church in Lapland, you may see herds of reindeer roaming freely. Travel through Europe’s last great wilderness to visit the national park near the gold centre of Tankavaara. Hotel: Ivalo. (BB,D) |

OSLO SIGHTSEEING
A panoramic tour takes in the Akershus Fort guarding the harbour and the Royal Palace and includes a visit to the Viking Long Ship Museum. Visit Frogner Park, housing the unique and controversial sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, before the afternoon at leisure. (BB) |

10 IVALO - NORTH CAPE
Cross the rolling tundra into Norway where you visit a Lapp folk museum and stop at Karasjok, a centre of Lapp culture. It’s then on through unique scenery to the North Cape.
