in the Rhine & Mosel Valleys Coach Holidays - 7 Days
Enjoy a
wonderful Christmas in some of the most spectacular scenery
in Europe.
An idyllic
setting for a truly wonderful Christmas surrounded by fairytale
scenery. The Rhine and Mosel Valleys offer some of the most
spectacular scenery in Europe. We include an excursion to
the pretty Eiffel hills village of Monschau with its romantic
half timbered 'fairy tale' houses harbouring a rich mosaic
of art, culture and museums. You will call at Cologne and
visit the Christmas markets. There are varying themes such
as the Medieval Market at the Chocolate Museum, the floating
market on board a Rhine ship and the fascinating Christmas
market by the 'Dom'.
Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1:
We travel
to our overnight hotel in Belgium/Holland.
DAY 2: Cologne Christmas
Markets We travel into Germany to Cologne and the
Christmas Markets where you will have free time. We then
continue our journey arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.
DAY 3: Christmas Eve -
Lorelei and Rivrer Rhine Cruise Included
full day excursion.
DAY 4: Christmas Day
- Wine tasting Included
visit to the famous House of Anton Hammes for a wine tasting,
as we cut the Christollen cake. Traditional Christmas lunch.
DAY 5:
Boxing Day - Mosel River Cruise Optional
full day excursion.
DAY 6: Monschau Journey
through the Eiffel Hills to Monschau where you will have
free time. We then travel to our overnight hotel in Belgium/Holland.
DAY 7: Journey
to Calais then return home.
Your Hotel
You'll spend four nights
at the Mercure Hotel Lahnstein, or a similar three or four
star hotel. All hotels used have well furnished en-suite bedrooms
and a comfortable bar and dining room where breakfast and
dinner (or lunch) will be included during your stay. You will
have two overnight stays in Belgium or Holland on a bed and
breakfast basis.
