FULL DAY Today we head into the Pennine foothills and, with the aid of our local guide, are entertained by tales of the famous Pendle Witches and the history of the rolling landscapes of the Ribble Valley. Later we stop at Oswaldtwistle Mills, Lancashires' premier mill attraction with a wide range of shops and cafes set within what was one of Lancashire's leading cotton mills. In the afternoon we return to Blackpool via Bashall Barn where you can see the production of home made Lancashire ice-cream. FULL DAY Today we visit Liverpool where we have included a superb guided 'Merseyside Discovery Trail' tour, visiting the amazing Albert Dock complex where you'll find the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Tate Liverpool, and view the famous Three Graces, the trio of buildings facing the Mersey at Pier Head, topped by the Liver Building built in the city's Edwardian heyday. In the afternoon we take a boat ride on the famous River Mersey (ticket included) - a great way of spotting Liverpool's famous landmarks! |
