From our own hotel at Skegness you can explore some of the beautiful gardens of
Lincolnshire’s Wolds and Fen country. On this special break you will be greeted by either the
head gardener or owner at each site, for a personalised guided tour. From the splendour of
formal gardens at stately homes to more intimate, hidden delights, this is a tour which is sure
to please everyone.

of Lincolnshire - Your Excursions
FULL
DAY Exploring
the gardens of Lincolnshire Wolds. First to Harrington Hall,
a mellow Tudor house in an idyllic setting, which has a variety
of wall shrubs, climbers, herbaceous and mixed borders in
a memorable garden. Following a stop at the antiques town
of Horncastle, continue to Holmdale House in the village of
Martin, where three intimate gardens are arranged around a
Victorian farmhouse and courtyard. Imaginative planting of
unusual hardy plants and shrubs show the owners’ special interests.
Finally to Stixwould, where you can discover the hidden delights
of an enthusiastic local gardener.
FULL DAY A leisurely
day to Spalding, the garden town of the Lincolnshire Fens.
First we visit Ayscoughfee Hall to see the formal gardens
of a historic 15th century wool merchant’s house, enclosed
by mellow walls in a lovely setting next to the River Welland.
These beautiful gardens feature a fishpond with fountains,
a Garden of Peace, a yew tree walk and a herb garden. Continue
to the renowned Springfield Festival Gardens, in a setting
of 38 acres including famous garden designs to inspire you,
woodland walks and a popular outlet shopping centre.
County Hotel
OUR OWN HOTEL in Skegness stands proudly
on North Parade seafront, a level walk to all amenities. This
elegant, 1930’s building is the leading sea front hotel and
our General Manager Ross Muirhead and his staff ensures all
guests have comfortable accommodation, good food and service.
There is a lovely art deco style restaurant, bar lounge, and
spacious entertainment lounge, with sprung dance floor. All
bedrooms have private facilities, television, telephone and
tea and coffee making facilities.

HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY to choose the coach seat of your choice
which is yours from the moment you join your tour coach. Seat
numbers are not allocated on regional transfer services. In
most cases on coaches equipped with a rear mounted WC, seats
23 and 24 move to the driver’s side of the vehicle, whilst
seats 45 and 46 move one seat forward of the rear seat.
Please note
that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON COACHES. Passengers who do
smoke will have ample opportunity to do so at the comfort
stops en route.
