The
Dorset Coast & New Forest - England Coach Tours - 8 Days
Tour Highlights
• New Forest • Salisbury • Dorchester
• Swanage • Lyndhurst • Dorset Coast
and Countryside
Beautifully built amid the pinewoods, Bournemouth is so much more than just a seaside
resort and an impressive array of attractions, it is one of the premier holiday centres in
the country. There are two piers, two thousand acres of parks and gardens, seven miles of
clean golden beaches, traffic-free shopping areas, regular military band concerts, starstudded
evening entertainment and, of course, the beautiful Dorset countryside is close
by too.
The Dorset
Coast & New Forest - Your Excursions
FULL
DAY Our marvellous full day
excursion heads off via the back
roads and lanes of the New Forest,
with its famous ponies and elusive
deer, to the ‘Capital of the New
Forest’, Lyndhurst. Here there is
time to browse through the many
antique shops before continuing on
to historic Salisbury. Famous for its
magnificent Gothic cathedral, and
tallest spire in England, the
grid-like streets with their blackand-
white half-timbered houses and
speciality shops are a joy to explore.
HALF DAY Our half day excursion
takes us to the busy market town of
Dorchester, the fictional
‘Casterbridge’ in several Thomas
Hardy novels. There is plenty of
time to wander through the busy
market place, and Hardy’s Wessex
Exhibition is well worth a visit.
HALF DAY Our half
day excursion takes us to the Isle of Purbeck, past the ruins
of Corfe Castle, to the little resort town of Swanage. Here
there is plenty of time to explore this pretty seaside town.
