Here is a blend of scenery on a grand scale, from the wild Pennine moorlands to the spectacular North Yorkshire coast.We tour the more remote Northern Dales, explore the North York Moors National Park - the location of the TV series ‘Heartbeat’ - and enjoy a memorable ride on the famous North York Moors Railway.

FULL DAY
A grand tour of the Northern Dales takes us first to Richmond, where a magnificent castle towers above the River Swale, fronted by a huge cobbled market place. On through Wensleydale to Hawes, then beside the Settle & Carlisle Railway, past the old market town of Kirkby Stephen, to Teesdale and Barnard Castle, where the ruined castle dates from the 11th century.
FULL DAY
In the morning to Whitby, where a ruined clifftop abbey overlooks the picturesque town, huddled around the colourful harbour. Chance to visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, with memorabilia about his voyages from Whitby, before climbing into the North York Moors National Park to Goathland, the ‘Heartbeat’ village. From here we ride on the preserved North York Moors Railway to Pickering (ticket included).

YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY to choose the coach seat of your choice which is yours from the moment you join your tour coach. Seat numbers are not allocated on regional transfer services. In most cases on coaches equipped with a rear mounted WC, seats 23 and 24 move to the driver’s side of the vehicle, whilst seats 45 and 46 move one seat forward of the rear seat.
