Oban, Mull & Ancient Iona - Scotland
Coach Tours - 8 Days

Tour Highlights
• Isle of Mull • Seil Island • Fort William • Glencoe
• Tobermory • Ancient Iona • Lakes & Mountains

Oban has become one of the major holiday centres in the West Highlands. The town bustles with life and the harbour is busy with supply boats plying their way to the Islands. There is a superb level esplanade, a whisky distillery and woollen mills. Pulpit Hill affords wonderful views across the Firth of Lorne with some unforgettable sunsets, and just offshore from the town lies the green island of Kerrera which is linked to Oban by passenger ferry.

Oban, Mull & Ancient Iona - Holiday Itinerary
SATURDAY
From local departure points we head towards our overnight stop in the north of England.
SUNDAY
Heading for the border we cross into Scotland before skirting the banks of Loch Lomond and, travelling through some of Scotland’s finest scenery, we make our way to Oban and the Regent Hotel.
MONDAY
A day at leisure to relax and explore Oban.
TUESDAY
Our relaxing half day tour to nearby Seil Island takes us across the Atlantic Bridge to the artists colony of Easdale, where there is time to explore at leisure.
WEDNESDAY
A very scenic tour today as we take the road through the narrow Pass of Brander and wild Rannoch Moor to descend Glencoe - probably the most spectacular and infamous glen in Scotland, setting of the Massacre of 1692 - to reach the shores of Loch Linnhe and Fort William. Time for sightseeing at this popular touring centre, which lies below Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, before returning by the Appin shore of Loch Linnhe, with panoramic coastal and mountain views.
THURSDAY
This morning we cross the Sound of Mull by ferry to the village of Craignure, then follow the coastal road, with beautiful views of the mainland mountains, to reach the island capital of Tobermory. This pretty town is well known for its variety of brightly painted houses, which cluster around the harbour.Whilst on the island we take the opportunity to visit the small island of Iona, birthplace of Christianity in Scotland and burial place of fifty nine kings.
FRIDAY
Today we leave the splendour of Scotland’s west coast and make our way south through beautiful border country to our final night in England.
SATURDAY
We make our way homeward.
