Into Scotland and onto Fort William, where we board our late afternoon train for the stunning rail journey to Mallaig (ticket included), one of the great rail journeys of the world, before sailing 'over the sea to Skye' to our hotel in Kyleakin.

TUESDAY
A full day excursion showcasing the best of this stunning island. First we head for the island's capital of Portree where there is a colourful harbour, and market square, before enjoying the breathtaking coastal road via Dunvegan Bay with its far reaching views across to the Western Isles and the spectacular Cuillin Hills.

WEDNESDAY
Enjoy the morning at leisure in Kyleakin. At midday we cross the Skye Road Bridge to board our train at the Kyle of Lochalsh and enjoy one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world - The Kyle Line (ticket included). Camera's at the ready - sit back, relax and enjoy an enchanting and magnificent journey through the Highlands before we rejoin our coach and continue into the far north to our hotel in Thurso.

THURSDAY

FRIDAY
A memorable full day excursion to the nearby Orkney Islands. An early start to board the passenger ferry from John O'Groats to cross the Pentland Firth to Burwick. Here a local coach takes us across the Churchill Barriers, with Scapa Flow to our left, to Stromness. Then it's past the Neolithic village of Skara Brae (admission not included), the mystical Ring of Brodgar, and the Standing Stones of Stenness, to Kirkwall, capital of the Orkneys.
