Holiday Itinerary


DAY 1: ARRIVE TEL AVIV - JERUSALEM (4)
You are transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Enjoy the day at leisure before a Welcome Drink with your Trafalgar Representative and fellow travellers. Hotel: Dan Panorama Jerusalem (F) (4 nights)

DAY 2: MOUNT ZION – THE OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM
Stop at the Mount of Olives and visit the tomb of King David and the room where the Last Supper took place. Walk through the Old City and newly restored Jewish Quarter to see the Dome of the Rock. Walk the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. (IB)

DAY 3: JERUSALEM – DEAD SEA – MASADA – JERUSALEM
 Visit the Dead Sea and see the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then ascend by cable car to tour the ancient fortress in Masada where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Later return back to Jerusalem. (IB)

DAY 4: JERUSALEM AT LEISURE
 A full day at leisure in this fascinating city. (IB)

DAY 5: NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM – EIN GEV (2)
Stop to visit the poignant Yad Vashem memorial. Then visit the Israel Museum and see the Knesset and the Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University. Leave Jerusalem and travel to Ein Gev for a two night stay. (IB D) Hotel: Kibbutz Hotel Ein Gev (F) (2 nights)

DAY 6: EXCURSION TO NAZARETH – TIBERIAS – GOLAN HEIGHTS – TZFAT
First drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation. Then continue to Capernaum and on to lovely Tiberias and the Mount of Beatitudes. View the Sea of Galilee from the former Syrian bunkers. Your final stop will be Tzfat before returning to Ein Gev. (IB D)

DAY 7: ACRE – HAIFA – MEGGIDO – CAESAREA – TEL AVIV (2)
Drive to Acre to visit the fascinating underground crusaders' city. Then to Haifa and Meggido where you see the excavations of Solomon's Stables. In Caesarea see the Roman statues, the aqueduct and the Roman theatre. Finally arrive in Tel Aviv where you stay for the next two nights. (IB) Hotel: Dan Panorama Tel Aviv (F) (2 nights)

DAY 8: TEL AVIV AT LEISURE
 Today is a full day at leisure with time to relax before your return flight or explore the city further. (IB)

DAY 9: DEPART TEL AVIV
 Transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (IB)
