We begin in the medieval village of Èze, perched high above the Mediterranean, boasting spectacular views. We continue to fashionable Nice, for an afternoon free for exploration. B,D |
DAY 5: St Paul
de Vence and Cannes (optional)
We cross into France to St. Paul de Vence, a beautiful fortified medieval village, then end the day in Cannes, famed for the International Film Festival. B,D |
DAY 6: Monaco and
Monte Carlo (optional) Monaco’s eight square miles form the smallest and almost certainly wealthiest sovereign state. Spend time in probably the most famous part of Monaco, Monte Carlo. B,D |
DAY 7: Santa
Margherita and Portofino (optional) Travel to Santa Margherita, an attractive resort revolving around a thriving marina. You have time at leisure to explore the town’s two seaside squares. During our visit we will take a boat cruise (weather permitting) to the exclusive resort of Portofino with its beautiful small harbour and shoreline cafés and shops. If the weather prevents the cruise from operating, then we will visit the seaside resort of Alassio on the return journey instead. B,D |
