& The Ring of Kerry - Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1:
Home to Dublin Make your
own way to your chosen airport for the flight to Dublin where
you will be met and transferred to the Regency Airport Hotel.
DAY 5:
Full Day Ring of Kerry A highlight of our holiday is today's tour
of the spectacular `Ring of Kerry', without doubt the most
beautiful and renowned day tour in the whole country. This
morning we visit the Kerry Bog Village Museum, a recreation
of a typical village from 100 years ago. Then we follow the
coast road around the Iveragh Peninsula, along the beautiful
Atlantic coast for one hundred miles of breathtaking seascapes
and outstanding views calling in at Cahirsiveen and the multi-coloured
village of Sneem. We return to Killarney through the famed
Molls Gap, Ladies View and Killarney National Park.
DAY 2: Dublin to Adare to Killarney We leave
Dublin this morning and travel to Kildare where we enjoy a
morning stop before making our way to Adare, one of Ireland’s
prettiest villages, continuing on to Killarney later on this
afternoon. The town is noted for its relaxing atmosphere,
famous lakes and jaunting cars, or pony and trap rides. We
stay at the Killarney Towers Hotel.
DAY 6: Killarney to Cashel to Dublin Leaving Killarney this
morning we journey back eastwards across Ireland via Cashel,
one of Ireland's prettiest villages, before continuing on
to Dublin, our base for the next two nights. This afternoon
we enjoy an included visit to the Guinness Storehouse, where
you discover the pride and passion which goes in to making
this world-famous beer. At the end of the tour, make your
way to the Gravity Bar for spectacular views over the city
and a glass of the black stuff! We stay at the Camden Court
Hotel.
DAY 3: Full Day Dingle Peninsula and
Slea Head Today we
visit the town of Tralee, Kerry's County town, with time to
have a look at the famous rose gardens before continuing on
around Tralee Bay to Dingle, one of Kerry's best-kept secrets.
Dingle is a thriving, colourful fishing port backed by Brandon
Mountain, and the peninsula is one of Ireland's Gaelic speaking
districts. On then around Europe's most
westerly peninsula, Slea Head, the unsurpassed beauty of its
rugged coastline inspired director David Lean to shoot his
epic film `Ryan's Daughter' here. We return via the town of
Castlemaine.
DAY 7: A Day in Dublin Enjoy a
free day at leisure in Dublin, or join our optional guided
tour discovering the treasures of this cosmopolitan city.
Alternatively, take advantage of our hotel's superb leisure
facilities.
DAY 4: A Free Day in Killarney Enjoy a
day at leisure in Killarney or join our optional morning town
tour including visits to St Mary's Cathedral, Muckross Park
and Gardens, and Kate Kearney's Cottage, nestled at the entrance
to the famous Gap of Dunloe. (extra charge; driver will provide
details).
DAY 8: Dublin to Home Transfer to Dublin Airport
for your flight home.
