We visit some of the most
picturesque villages on Lake Garda,
including the gem of
the peninsula, Sirmione, from where we
take a private boat to Gardone, passing
the private island of Garda with its
Venetian Villa.
Verona (included).
The second largest city
in the Veneto region, Verona is a beautiful Roman city situated
alongside the River Adige. The many historic buildings, the
mighty Roman Arena famous for its summer opera performances,
and Juliet’s balcony combine to make the city a lovely place
to explore on foot. Join our optional guided sightseeing tour
to see the 1stcentury Arena, home to the prestigious Verona
Opera Festival, and the abundance of fine palaces, churches
and monuments, which adorn Verona’s alleyways and squares.
Venice (optional).
Enjoy an excursion to the
unique city of Venice. This city mixes Byzantine and Renaissance
architecture throughout its 118 islands. The magnificent buildings,
surrounded by bridges and canals, are a sign of the city’s
former wealth. The city has many spectacular sights, including
the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doges’ Palace.
For a different view, take our optional Venice Lagoon Cruise.
We begin with a view over St. Mark’s Square before passing
several small islands, including the Giudecca island. We continue
past the islands, which were used as sites for monasteries
or hospitals through the centuries.
Trentino Dolomites (included).
A spectacular day giving
us the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery of the
Trentino Dolomites on a wonderful scenic drive through the
magnificent mountains with their fantastic shaped pinnacles
and dramatic pillars. Don’t forget your camera to capture
the unsurpassable views.
Your Hotels
You will stay for five
nights at the 3-star Hotel Royal in Riva del Garda, only 250
metres from the lake, and a 10 or 15-minute walk along the
lakeside from Riva. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift,
outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace, and all meals are buffet-style.
All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. On some occasions other
3-star hotels may be used in Riva del Garda, Torbole sul Garda,
Navene or Malcesine.
Overnight stays in Belgium and northern France are in city-style
hotels.
