DAY 1:
UK to Paris To
Dover for the ferry to Calais, taking dinner on board. We
continue for an overnight at our three star standard hotel
on the outskirts of Paris. (D)
DAY 9:
Stresa to Paris Today’s
excursion shows us the stunning scenery which forms the backdrop
of two major lakes: the narrow fjord-like Lake Como with delightful
villages dotted around its shore, and mountains literally
plunging into the deep blue waters; and Lugano, flanked by
the mountains of San Salvatore and Monte Bre, which form inlets
and bays as they meet with the water (passports required for
entry into Switzerland).
DAY 2: Paris to Stresa, Lake Maggiore To Gare
de Lyon Station for the TGV train to Milan, a journey of approximately
six hours. Your WA Shearings coach and driver will then take
you to Stresa and your hotel for the next 6 nights. (B,D)
DAY 10: N. France to UK To Calais
for the ferry to Dover and then home. (B)
DAYS 3 to 8: Lake Maggiore Enjoy your stay in the
wonderful resort of Stresa. We have included a couple of excursions
to show you some of the sights of the area, and there will
also be a range of optional excursions for your added enjoyment.

Full Day: Lake Como & Lugano Today's
excursion shows us the stunning scenery which forms the backdrop

Full Day: Lake Maggiore Enjoy a scenic drive viewing
the beautiful Lake Maggiore, the second largest of the Italian
lakes. As we journey around the lake, we take time to stop
in some of the delightful villages that line the shores, each
with their own charm, and most with pretty promenades along
the lake front and delightful mazes of old streets. Just about
wherever you are, you can enjoy views out to the Borromean
Islands that lie in the centre of the lake.

Speranza Au Lac - Lake Maggiore
Ideally located in the
centre of Stresa, across the road from the lakeside and boat
landing stage, this traditional hotel comprises two adjacent
buildings. The family owners take great pride in the excellence
of the service they provide to their guests and the quality
of the food served in the classically styled restaurant.
