DAY 1:
UK to Reims To
Dover then across to France and down to Reims for a late arrival
and overnight stay.
DAY 9:
Baveno to Reims Leaving
the lake behind, we commence our return journey, via Colmar
to change to our UK coach, to Reims for dinner and our final
night. (B,D)
DAY 2: Reims to Baveno Enjoy some lovely scenery
as we travel in to Italy, arriving in Baveno in time for dinner.

DAY 10: Reims to UK To Calais for the ferry
to Dover and home. (B)
DAYS 3 to 8: Baveno Relax in our picturesque
resort situated on shores of beautiful Lake Maggiore, take
a ferry to the Borromean Islands, and enjoy some of the surrounding
area on our included excursions. (B,D)

Day: Arona & Lake Orta Orta is
one of Italy’s smallest lakes, with a picture-postcard
medieval village known locally as ‘Venice without water’,where
narrow cobbled streets run between pastel washed houses and
palaces with elaborate wrought iron balconies. Then on to
Arona at the southern end of the lake, and a 30 meter high
copper statue of St Charles Borromeo, who was born in the
now ruined Castle of Arona.
Full Day: Lake Como The narrow
fjord-like Lake Como is possibly the most dramatic of the
Italian lakes, where the mountains literally plunge into the
deep blue waters, indeed Wordsworth described it as a ‘treasure
which the earth kept to itself’. We take a day to marvel
in the scenery, and discover some of the many attractive villages
that are dotted along its shore, including the delightful
village of Bellagio situated on a peninsular in the centre
of the lake.

Rivage - Baveno
Right on Baveno’s
tree-lined promenade, the Beau Rivage enjoys a central location.
Convenient for the amenities of the resort, it is just across
the road from the lake, with lovely views of the attractive
Borromean Islands. There is a spacious bar and lounge overlooking
the lake, whilst behind the hotel there is a pleasant terraced
garden with seating areas, where you can relax in the evenings.
