Your Guide... Cologne
Cologne’s floating market, aboard one of the cruise ships
moored along the Rhine promenade, is one of the city’s six,
making these markets some of the largest in Germany. Along
with the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland, which is
decorated with twinkling lights, each of the markets has its
own particular character, offering different seasonal gifts
and decorations.

DAY 1: To Belgium
for a two or three-night stay.
DAY 2: Cologne (included) We enjoy
a full day in Cologne, whose Christmas magic strikes a very
festive note with no fewer than six Christmas markets. There
is also plenty of entertainment on offer as Christmas approaches
– a variety of Christmas concerts, nativity scene displays
and a huge ice rink on Heumarkt. We stay in Cologne until
early evening. B
DAY 3:
(4 day holiday) Aachen (included)
With it’s
streets and alleys transformed into a festive paradise of lights
and colour and the range of goods offered, from grand
precious objects down to modest trinkets, it’s no wonder
Aachen has become a must for visitors. B
DAY (3-day
holiday) OR DAY 4 (4-day holiday) Bruges (included) A short
visit to Bruges, with its quaint canals and tempting shops,
before returning home. B
