Düsseldorf has two main Christmas markets located in the old
town and around Schadowplatz. Walk around the 150 stalls and
let the festive atmosphere of this historic city on the Rhine
captivate you. The wooden huts offer a huge collection of
festive goods.

Düsseldorf has a very special fragrance, with the scent
of mulled red wine, cinnamon cakes, gingerbread and beeswax
hanging in the air in the city centre. The chestnut trees
on Königsallee glitter with a thousand lights. From the
end of November to Christmas, the Christmas markets in the
old town and on Schadowplatz transform Düsseldorf’s centre
into a Christmas wonderland, attracting thousands of visitors
every year. B
