Costa Brava Coastal
Tour (optional) First,
to Tossa de Mar, a typical Catalan coastal town with narrow
cobbled streets, medieval walls, fishermen’s cottages, a
14th century church and plenty of bars! Below the town is
a small cove and a golden beach. Then, it’s onto Lloret
de Mar, the liveliest resort on the Costa Brava, and finally
Blanes, an historical town famous for its lace-making.

the delightful relaxed atmosphere, particularly along Las
Ramblas, with lively entertainment provided by mime artists
and musicians. Our guided Barcelona sightseeing tour (optional)
sees many of the city’s famous sights, such as Gaudi’s Sagrada
Familia, a spectacular church begun in 1882 and still under
construction, the impressive 1992 Olympic Stadium and finishing
on the bustling Las Ramblas, where you have free time to
explore the bars, cafés and shops.

mountains, to the site of the famous 9th century Benedictine
monastery. Its beautiful basilica and turbulent history
make this a fascinating place to visit.

Girona’s charming colourful houses that line the River Onyar,
is the Old Town, with its imposing Gothic cathedral, maze
of narrow streets and ‘Rambla de la Libertat’. We then make
our way to medieval Besalu.

NORWEGIAN GEM
Purpose built for Freestyle Cruising, the ‘Norwegian Gem’
came into service in 2007 and is truly magnificent. Freestyle
Cruising offers diverse and exciting restaurants, a more relaxed
dress code and more things to see and do. The cruise experience
has been designed around complete freedom of choice.
FACILITIES ON BOARD
With facilities and cabins on 12 decks, this floating city
boasts 8 restaurants, 11 bars and lounges, swimming pool,
hot tubs and a health spa. Your time is free to relax around
the pools, browse the shops, visit the library or go for more
active deck games, including basketball, volleyball and tennis.
There’s a choice of entertainment in the evening, from the
casino or superb international shows in the Cabaret Lounge
and Bar, to dancing the night away in the Spinnaker Lounge.
DINING ON BOARD
There are up to 8 different restaurants featuring diverse,
ever-changing menus, with no fixed sittings. Restaurants are
open from 5.30pm to midnight for either an early dinner before
the show or a later romantic interlude. Of course, there’s
always the option of 24-hour room service! All meals in the
main restaurants and 24-hour restaurant, snacks and on-deck
grills are included in the holiday price. Speciality restaurants
incur a nominal fee.
THE STATEROOMS
We have a choice of staterooms available, though all rooms
have air-conditioning, T.V., safe, fridge, duvet, bathroom
with shower, W.C. and hairdryer. Prices are based on Inside
Cabins, with upgrades available to Superior Inside, Outside
and Outside with Balcony.
Your hotels
You’ll stay for
six nights at the 3-star Hotel Florida Park located in Santa
Susanna on the Costa del Maresme close to the town centre,
shops and beaches of Santa Susanna, on the Costa del Maresme.
Popular with Leger guests for many years, the hotel is ideally
located for our excursion programme or personal exploration,
with a regular train service along the coast to many resorts.
There are lifts, a large bar area, lounge, restaurant, sun
terrace and indoor leisure complex, including swimming pool
(daily charge). All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, air-conditioning
and a safe. During your stay, there will be a programme of
entertainment, with shows and activities, such as fancy dress,
flamenco show, games and live music.
Overnight stays in France are in city-style hotels. On day
two you’ll stay for one night in one of the 3-star group
Florida hotels on the Costa del Maresme.
Flying
Start /Return from only £79 extra
If you prefer you can
choose to travel by air. Take a ‘flying start’ and join
the tour directly on day 2, and/or choose a ‘flying return’
departing for home on day 16. Flights are to/from Barcelona
or Girona. Call for more details of flight prices/times

date will be one day later than that shown in the price
