Day 1:
UK to Holland
To Dover
and across to Calais, then into Belgium and Holland to our
overnight hotel. |
Day 9: Bodø to Steinkjer
Further south as we journey
to Steinkjer, at the mouth of the ‘Beitstadfjord’,
again crossing the Arctic Circle. We spend the night at the
Quality Grand (3*). (B,D) |
Day 2: Holland to Copenhagen
Into Germany and on to
Puttgarden for the short ferry crossing to Rødby in
Denmark. We then continue northwards to Copenhagen and the
Glostrup Park (4*) for dinner and overnight. (B,D) |
Day 10: Steinkjer to Røros
A day of wonderful scenery as we travel inland,
pausing in ‘Hell’ and the historic city of
Trondheim, before we reach the former
copper-mining town of Røros and the Quality
Hotel (3*), our base for the night. (B,D) |
Day 3: Copenhagen to Stockholm
Across the newly built
bridge, linking Denmark and Sweden, before heading Northwards
to Stockholm and the Clarion hotel (4*). (B,D) |
Day 11: Røros
We have included a guided walking tour this
morning of an extraordinary town, dominated
by wooden houses and grass-roofed cottages.
Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy this
charming place. (B,D) |
Day 4: Stockholm to Sundsvall
We journey
along the east coast of Sweden to Sundsvall and the centrally
located Clarion Collection hotel, (4*). (B,D). |
Day 12: Røros to Oslo
We head inland and south, past Lillehammer,
to reach the country’s capital, Oslo, where we
spend the night at the Rica Bygdøy Alle (3*).

Day 5: Sundsvall to Luleå
Just south of the Finnish
border, Luleå is our next port of call. We’ll
be staying at the Quality (3*) in the town centre. (B,D) |
Day 13: Oslo to Copenhagen
Southwards along the coast,
into Sweden and on to Malmø for the bridge crossing
to Denmark, where we spend the night at the Glostrup Park
(4*). (B,D) |
Day 6: Luleå to Tromsø
We cross the Arctic Circle as we journey
northwest into Norway and on to Tromsø, the
capital of northern Norway, where we’ll be
spending the next two nights at the Clarion
Bryggen (3*). (B,D) |
Day 14: Copenhagen to Hamburg
An included guided city
tour of Copenhagen, to see the ‘Little Mermaid’
and the beautiful harbour of ‘Nyhavn’. We then
journey southwards to Rødby for the ferry to Puttgarden
in Germany. Then on to Hamburg for an overnight at the Ramada
Treff (3*). (B,D) |
Day 7 Tromsø
Join our included guided
walking tour in thesmall city, to introduce you the history and
sights, like the Tromsø museum and the Arctic
Cathedral. For your time at leisure we
recommend a trip on the cable car up Mount
Storsteinen (‘Big Stone’), a guided tour of the
northern most brewery in the world, or a
coastal cruise. Plenty of time to enjoy the
spectacle of the Midnight Sun, 24 hour
daylight at the height of summer! (B,D) |
Day 15: Hamburg to Brussels
Through Holland and into
Belgium, to our overnight hotel. (B,D) |
Day 8:
Tromsø to Bodø
Southwards
along the east coast of Norway, via Narvik, heading for Bodø
and the Clarion Grand hotel (4*). (B,D) |
Day 16: Brussels to UK
To Calais, Dover and then
home. (B) |
