Welcome to Copenhagen! Unwind after check-in or spend time exploring Scandinavia's liveliest city. This evening, meet your Travel Director and travelling companions for a Welcome Reception. 2: COPENHAGEN SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
Your morning sightseeing tour includes a walking tour through the area around the
Amalienborg Palace – an elegant quarter of 18th century buildings. Then explore the
historic centre seeing the 17th century Stock Exchange, the Christiansborg Palace,
the Neo-Classical Cathedral and the 19th century Theatre Royal – former home of
the Opera. Sitting on a rock in the harbour you will find the Little Mermaid – the
statue inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's sad fairytale. Later, perhaps visit the

3: COPENHAGEN – ODENSE – AALBORG
After breakfast this morning, head west and cross the bridge to the Island of Funen
and the town of Odense, Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace. From here continue
across the Jutland Peninsula en route to Aalborg which is a charming mixture of old

4: AALBORG – STAVANGER
An early start as you head to Hirsthals where you board the ship to cross the
Skagerrak to the port of Kristiansand in Norway. After disembarkation rejoin your
coach and drive via Mandal and Flekkefjord to Stavanger, one of Norway's oldest

5: STAVANGER – BERGEN (2)
After breakfast enjoy a spectacular journey today as you island-hop from Stavanger
to the capital of the Fjords, Bergen. On this coastal highway you cruise fjords and
pass islands along the impressive coastline. Later, arrive in Bergen and experience
the history of this picturesque city on your orientation tour. Enjoy views of the 13th

Today is yours to explore all that Norway's most naturally beautiful city with its

7: BERGEN – FLAM RAILWAY – SOGNEFJORD (LEIKANGER)
This morning travel to the ski resort of Voss where you will take a train journey that
ascends 3,000 feet above sea level. Time at the top to admire the scenery before taking
the famous Flam railway – one of the most exciting railway journeys in the world! Breathtaking views of mountains and waterfalls await you before crossing over the

8: SOGNEFJORD (LEIKANGER) – GEIRANGER (2)
After breakfast, this morning's drive will take you along the spectacular Sognefjord.
Continue onwards through awesome glacier country. Wonderful views of

9: GEIRANGER AT LEISURE
A full day to relax in the clear mountain air surrounded by the most breathtaking
scenery, which has been granted World Heritage status by UNESCO. Perhaps take

10: GEIRANGER – LOM – LILLEHAMMER
Today the magnificent views continue as you drive out of Geiranger. In Ottadalen
stop to visit the traditional Stave Church at Lom. From here continue through the
Gudbrandsdal Valley, which was the inspiration for Ibsen's 'Peer Gynt'. Finally arrive
in Lillehammer, the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics, where you spend the night.
Before dinner at the hotel, why not take a walk along Storgata or perhaps visit the

11: LILLEHAMMER – HAMAR – OSLO
Your first highlight this morning is at lakeside Hamar. Here see the unusual ice rink
built for the Olympics before making your way to Norway's capital, Oslo. On arrival

Palace and a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park. The rest of your day is at leisure.
