To make the most of your
day in the ‘city of lights’, our optional guided sightseeing
tour takes in the famous Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs
Elysées, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral. For
a different view of the city, there’s an optional leisurely
hourlong River Seine cruise, complete with English commentary,
that drifts past elegant buildings and beneath historic bridges.

Garden (optional).
We begin at the impressive
Château and Gardens of Versailles, originally created for
Louis XIV. Enjoy the regal splendour, the Eglise Notre-Dame,
and the Lambinet Museum (Château admission is extra, approx.
€8). We return to Paris, to the Montmartre area, with its
quaint atmosphere, artists’ colony, galleries and, of course,
the Basilica of the Sacre Coeur. (If you prefer, you can spend
the day exploring Paris independently.)
Your Hotel
You’ll stay for three nights
at the 3-star Quality Hotel Le Cardinal in Rueil Malmaison
on the western outskirts of Paris. The hotel has a breakfast
room, bar and lift. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer
and air-conditioning.
Upgrade your hotel from only £40 extra per person!
For your added comfort and enjoyment, you can upgrade
your accommodation to the 4-star Holiday Inn Paris-Versailles-Bougival
located in the western outskirts of Paris. The hotel has a
Mediterranean-style restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms
