DAY 1: Local departure by coach then to Cologne to join our cruise ship, the Rhine Princess, for a nine-night cruise. LS DAY 2: Cologne to Andernach Leisurely morning to explore Cologne, before we begin our cruise to Andernach. B,L,D DAY 3: Andernach to Rüdesheim We cruise along the Rhine, past Koblenz to the bustling wine town of Rüdesheim. Enjoy an optional chairlift ride up to the Niederwald Monument. B,L,D DAY 4: Rüdesheim to Speyer We continue our cruise, stopping at Mannheim, from where you can join an optional excursion by coach to Heidelberg. Continue to Speyer. B,L,D DAY 5: Speyer to Strasbourg We cruise south into France and to Strasbourg, arriving mid-afternoon. Join our optional ‘Winetasting and Alsace’ tour, visiting Riquewihr. B,L,D DAY 6: Lucerne A full-day included excursion by coach to the Swiss lakeside city of Lucerne (packed lunch included). Rejoin our ship in the Swiss city of Basle. B,L,D DAY 7: Black Forest We enjoy amorning included excursion to the legendary Black Forest, visiting Titisee, then rejoin our ship in Breisach and continue to Kehl. B,L,D DAY 8: Kehl to Mainz Enjoy a leisurely day’s cruise to Mainz. B,L,D DAY 9: Mainz to Koblenz We cruise to Koblenz. Enjoy a final farewell dinner on board ship. You'll spend nine nights cruising on board the 3-star standard cruise ship, the Rhine Princess, a firm favourite with Leger guests and exclusively chartered by Leger for these cruises. Facilities include a lounge bar with small dance floor, restaurant on the middle deck and a small lounge with library. There is also an outside sundeck, ideal for viewing the passing scenery.
