Monday:
From
Calais to reach Zoetermeer near Scheveningen and the NH
Zoetermeer Hotel for two nights.
Thursday:
Through
the industrial heartland of the Rühr, where there’s
always something of interest on the busy River Rhine,to arrive
at the city of Dusseldorf by breakfast time. Spend the day
visiting the renowned Christmas market areas of Schadowplatz
and the Old Town, and explore the shops of Konigsallee. Then
we sail in the evening to Cologne, with the chance to experience
the special atmosphere of the cathedral, surrounding streets
and squares, festooned with Christmas decorations.
Tuesday:
To
Amsterdam, with ample time for sightseeing and shopping in
this unique city of canals, carillons, ‘brown’
bars, barrel organs and bicycles.
Friday:
From
Cologne we return to Calais and home.
Wednesday:
In
the morning our coach takes us to Arnhem to join the river
cruise ship ‘Prinses Christina’ in the afternoon
and cruise gently overnight into Germany.
