DAY 1: Local departure by coach, then to Belgium and our overnight hotel. DAY 2: Valkenburg and Cologne Brief visit to Valkenburg then to Cologne to join our cruise ship, for a five-night cruise. B,D DAY 3: Cologne to Andernach We begin our cruise upstream to the quintessential Rhine town of Andernach. Spend time exploring the town or relaxing by the river. B,L,D DAY 4: Andernach to Cochem Today, we cruise upstream to the city of Koblenz, where we join the Moselle River – a more tranquil river valley in contrast to the vibrant Rhine. Later, we arrive in Cochem. B,L,D DAY 5: Cochem to Rüdesheim A day of fabulous scenery as we cruise to Koblenz, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Continue through the Rhine Gorge, passing hill-top castles, picturesque towns and vine-clad slopes. We also see the famous Loreley Rock before arriving in the ever-popular town of Rüdesheim, where we berth for the night. After dinner, why not join our optional sightseeing tour by little road train, including a visit to Siegfried's Mechanical Music Museum? B,L,D DAY 6: Rüdesheim to Cologne We cruise downstream past Koblenz, Bonn and the town of Königswinter. Later, we continue to Cologne for our evening farewell dinner and party on board. You'll spend five nights cruising on board the 3-star standard MV Prinses Christina. The ship offers an elegantly furnished restaurant on the lower deck, with the lounge and bar on the promenade deck. The large sun deck is partially covered. All 54 cabins (on lower, main and promenade decks) are equipped with satellite T.V., airconditioning and ensuite facilities. There is a stair lift between the main and promenade deck, and from the main deck to the restaurant on the lower deck. |
