DAY 1:
UK to Belgium To
Dover, across to Calais and on to our overnight hotel in Liege,
Belgium.
DAY 9: Novgorod to St.Petersburg Enjoy an
included guided city tour of Novgorod, home of Russia’s oldest
stone building, the Cathedral of Saint Sophia. We continue
north to St. Petersburg in time for an afternoon guided tour
of the city that features the Winter Palace with its green,
white and gold columns, and the Summer Palace, ‘Home to the
Tsars’. We stay for three nights at the Hotel Dostoevsky (3*).

DAY 2: Liege to Berlin Into Germany and on to
Berlin for an overnight at the Berlin Mark (3*). (B,D)
DAY 10: St.Petersburg Included entrance to the
Hermitage, housing one of the greatest art collections in
the world. Spend the afternoon at leisure, independently exploring
St. Petersburg. (B,D)
DAY 3: Berlin to Warsaw We cross
the River Oder into Poland to reach Warsaw, the capital. The
beautiful old buildings, churches and famous market square
have been faithfully restored since World War II. We enjoy
a night at the Mercure Fryderyk Chopin (3*). (B,D)
DAY 11: St.Petersburg At leisure
in St. Petersburg to explore at leisure some of the city’s
many sights and attractions, or maybe join one of our optional
excursions. (B,D)
DAY 4: Warsaw to Minsk We cross the border into
Belarus or ‘White Russia’. We stop for an included
lunch in Brest and continue to Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Here, our guided sightseeing tour features the monument commemorating
the heroes of the Second World War. Tonight we stay at the
Hotel Belarus (3*). (B,L,D)
DAY 12: St.Petersburg to Helsinki We leave
St. Petersburg and drive across the Finnish border to reach
Helsinki. We board our ship for the overnight sailing to Stockholm.
Accommodation is in two berth cabins with private facilities,
and dinner and breakfast are included on board. As there’s
no access to the coach during the overnight crossing, you’ll
need an overnight bag with any necessary essentials.

DAY 5: Minsk to Moscow We head
to Smolensk for an included lunch, we then continue east,
reaching Moscow for three nights at the Hotel Cosmos (3*).

DAY 13: Stockholm to Copenhagen We arrive
in Stockholm this morning and continue south to Malmo, crossing
the Oresund via the new bridge between Sweden and Denmark,
then to the outskirts of Copenhagen,
where we stay at the Glostrup Park Hotel (4*). (B,D)
DAY 6: Moscow Enjoy an
included guided tour of Moscow, the biggest city in the world’s
largest country. See the Kremlin and St Basil’s Cathedral,
the magnificent Red Square, home of Lenin’s Tomb and
the annual May Day Military Parade, Gum department store,
and Gorky Park, a meeting place for Muscovites. (B,D)
DAY 14: Copenhagen to
Hamburg We
enjoy a short drive in Copenhagen and then continue to Rodbyhavn
for the ferry to Puttgarden in Germany, then on to Hamburg
and the hotel Ramada Treff (3*). (B,D)
DAY 7: Moscow A day at leisure to seek
out your favourite sights or join an optional excursion. (B,D)
DAY 15: Hamburg to N.France We travel
into France for our final overnight (B,D)
DAY 8:
Moscow to Novgorod We
leave Moscow and head past Klin, pause in Tver for an included
lunch, before continuing to Novgorod for our overnight at
the Hotel Beresta Palace (4*). (B,L,D)
DAY 16: N.France to UK To Calais,
across to Dover and home (B)
