Full Day: One of our holiday highlights is in store as we head north to visit the Castle of Mey, the former residence of the late Queen Mother. Falling for its isolated charm and hearing it was to be abandoned, The Queen Mother renovated, restored it and created the beautiful gardens, and for almost half a century she spent many happy Summers here. After time to explore, we head off to John O'Groats, at the northernmost tip of Great Britain – don't forget your camera!

Full Day: A delightful day ahead as we visit the 'Capital of the Highlands', bustling Inverness, located at the top of the Great Glen. Explore the shops for some tartan gifts, take a stroll along the River Ness or discover the city's heritage at the beautiful cathedral – Inverness has lots to offer! We continue on to the historic Glen Ord distillery, set on the edge of the Black Isle, to watch the distillers at work and sample the produce, before returning via the quaint village of Tain.

Full Day: Taking a leisurely drive through wonderful Highland scenery, we pass through the little towns of Rogart and Lairg, at the foot of Loch Shin, to call at picturesque Shin Falls. Here we can see the dramatic waterfalls and look for the salmon leap, as well as calling at the interesting Visitor Centre.

Make your own way to your chosen airport for your flight to Inverness, where you’ll be met and transferred to Dornoch, our holiday base for the next seven nights.

DAY 8
Departing after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
